Works Perfectly (and does a month later) (still perfect at xmas)
UPDATE 2.0: holidays are here and this thing hasn’t given up. Seriously at this point just buy it, it’s not a hard or time consuming part to instal, it’s worth it even if it does poop out eventually. WORTH. The danger ranger is damn near unstoppable at this point UPDATE: After about 400 starts (give or take) or, a month this is still working as it should. HOWEVER, I have had to go buy a few lock washers as the ones it came with wiggled loose once. Would still purchase this, as a few washers from a hardware store that cost about as much as the loose change i find in my washing machines aren’t even close to enough of a reason not to.I bought this to replace the unit in my 1990 Ford Ranger after it wore out. 30+ years after build date the original finally wore out so much that it got hot enough to weld itself together inside and cause the starter to continually crank. Perfect replacement and hasn’t had any issues so far, actually seems to work a little better (funny how new things work better than old things huh). If you can find an ACDelco unit for cheaper on a different platform that would be the only reason i would not purchase here. A Good Buy.

Feels heavy duty!
First off it’s feels sold not flimsy, like the ones I’ve tried. Secondly it works great no problems so far the others I’ve bought at the parts store malfunction and my starter came on while I was asleep in my apartment, or stopped working. This one gave me back confidence that it was okay.

Using as a solenoid between the battery and the starter on a 6.9 IDI. Works well.

OK!
Delco just imports these. They don't seem to make this sort of stuff anymore. Anyway it got my old truck running.

Took 2 days to fail
I bought this as a replacement for the original starter solenoid on my F-250 which finally quit working after more than 20 years in my truck. This new solenoid worked fine the first day, then after work on the second day I had to turn the key 3 times before it did more than just click. It has now been 5 days and I am already forced to start my truck with a screwdriver. Not convenient at all and slightly embarrassing. I will be installing a motorcraft solenoid next, which is apparently what I should have done in the first place.UPDATE 7/7/17: It is very possible that my problem was caused by my wiring more so than this solenoid. After changing to a different solenoid I still had the same problem. On my 3rd attempt with a 3rd brand of solenoid I took the time to clean the wire terminals in my truck with some sandpaper as they were very dirty. It has only been a day but I have not had a problem yet. Because of this I am changing my review to 3 stars simply because I do not know if this part actually caused me a problem or not.
