Many Medical ID Bracelet users prefer the ID On Me bracelet to the traditional bracelets on the market to communicate their medical conditions. The unique design of the ID On Me makes complete family contact ID and other vital medical information available without delay so critical medical decisions can be made in an emergency situation. Identification information is hidden and protected, updated easily with our waterproof Tyvek inserts. We recommend an Ultra Fine Point Sharpie to record the information on the Insert, purchased separately. The ID On Me Compartment in made of high strength Nylon. The wristband is made from a latex free sports stretch webbing. If for any reason you experience a problem with a product and require a warranty, please contact us! We love to take care of our customers.

Can convey far more information than regular bracelets
This is the second one I've bought, the first one lasted about a year which brings up a negative aspect: durability. This body of this bracelet is made entirely of plastic, and the hinge on the door is less than robust. That being said, I still bought a replacement when the door on my first one broke off because of the positive aspects: inexpensive price and the ability to encapsulate a LOT of information. If your medical condition is more involved than simple diabetes or heart condition, the tough paper insert that goes inside allows you to convey far more information than any plain bracelet. The only comparison would be the newer bracelets that include a USB flash drive.

Cheap, cheap, ugly and cheap!
The Tyvek insert is the only decent quality part of this bracelet. The bracelet is extremely lightweight, less than 1/4 ounce (7g) according to the packaging. I suppose this could be a plus for small kids, but in my opinion it adds to the overall impression of a very cheap toy. Don't be fooled by the pictures. It doesn't just *feel* like a cheap toy, it looks like one too. The main functional part of the bracelet is made of dull matte grey plastic. Most of all, it reminds me of a worthless tchotchke you might get out of the quarter machines in a discount mart entranceway. As others have mentioned, it can be a little hard to open, but this is because the compartment is sealed with a rubber gasket which is put under considerable pressure when it's closed. That could be a plus or a minus, depending on how well it resists water (I didn't check) and who needs to open it.I think most people would be happier with the cheap metal bracelets available at most pharmacies or grocery stores for 1/3 the cost, or spend a few extra dollars and buy a higher quality item.

I like that it has an elastic band that you can ...
Yes it is plastic, and yes it is hard to open, but that does keep it waterproof. I have worn mine continuously for the past 9 months (take it off only to shower and wash the band) and it has held up well. I like that it has an elastic band that you can push up out of the way when you have your hands in things, you don't have to keep taking it off. It is comfortable and can hold much more info than the engraved ones, which was important to me since I am driving a lot through many different states and it can hold all my contact info as well as the medical. And as far as getting it opened, I'm sure emergency response personnel will manage just fine and they are the ones who count if your using it as a medical ID. If your using it as a child's ID then it's also a good idea that they can't mess with it and lose the info inside- adults will just need to be more persistent.

It works, it is plastic and is kind of hard to open.
This plastic and it is hard to open. You almost need a knife or a penny at the really strong finger nail to open it. It does seem to get easy to open after opening it a few times. It does work though. You just write some important health information on a little piece of paper and fold it up and stick it in there.

nice and lighweight. info is kept personal inside. great comfortable easy adjustable band too
Ordered this for my father who is a cardiac patient and his last episode was in a dark parking lot....luckily someone saw him go down that knew him and he was by his vehicle so sent vehicle reg to hospital with ambulance however he recovered but was because of fast attendance to incident. This is very lightweight and can put all necessary info inside for privacy and can be changed easily...face is a nice size but is plastic and band is easily adjusted. Just purchased for my father who hasn't worn it long but it's perfect for him cause he is back to being on the go everyday

So this Medical ID bracelet really isn't that bad. It's not quite what I expected though
So this Medical ID bracelet really isn't that bad. It's not quite what I expected though. The bracelet part is an elastic band. But I didn't have any issues with putting one of the included strips in it with my information on it. As someone with a newly diagnosed medical issue that people recommend I wear something to let the medics know I might be in crises when they see me, this will work. It'll work until I come up with something better. But really it's not to bad I don't mind it.

Works well.
Does the job well. We had a tough time opening it in the beginning but once we opened and closed the latch a few times it seemed fine. The bracelet is not really meant for fashion but we like the bracelet for our 2.5 year old. The elastic is soft and stretchy. It would be nice to have a few band colors to choose from though. We plan to purchase the light grey one directly from their website just so it matches a little better with our daughters clothes.

Great design, but not durable...
This is a great design for my daughter's needs, and is unique in that it contains a note feature, so you can write info for the wearer's condition, emergency contacts, medications, etc. The problem is it's made of a plastic which is not durable. The tabs that hold the compartment closed broke already, and we had just bought it about a month ago! This is a recurring problem, and has happened over and over. The original company gladly replaced them in the past, but whoever sells these now won't replace them. Would give it five stars if they used metal or stronger components!
