Broken Halo: The Montgomery Series, Book 2

Ellie and Trig had a love that most people never get to experience. They had it when they were young. Tragedy strikes and they were pulled away from each other literally. It's ten years later they meet again. They fight their attraction for one another. Eventually they give in. You would think that's their happily ever after but no. Ellie's in laws bring their brand of crazy, then you throw in Trig's father Ray in with his twisted screwed up selfish ways and you have more unexpected drama. But does it end there oh no there is even more intrigue and mystery that unfolds. This book kept my glued to my seat. Brynne has a unique way of writing I can't get enough of it.

I really enjoyed this book. The first quarter I was getting a bit tired of Ellie poor me, rattled personality. But weak & flustered, plus mad at Trigg when she's the one who set off the lies from their past, granted there was lies then too & a strong arming dad. Glad the book picked up, each mystery played out well & characters were well developed. The family dynamics are strong & there for each other. Love Trigg & so glad they got their HEA & family. Lots of suspense & side mysteries that this author of good at writing.One thing I have to say is I do not like the book covers. They truly do not match the vibe of the books or the Montgomery women. I do not like cartoonish looking covers. This one didn't even look like Ellie or her interest or body type.

This was such a great second book in the series. Lost love, broken hearts, finding their way back to each other. Trig and Ellie…& little Griffin. Some twists and turns in this one I didn’t expect, but look forward to reading Quinn’s/Rona’s story next.

BROKEN HALO is a good second chance romance because Trig and Ellie aren’t starting from zero when they meet again after 10 years - they are deeply in the negative territory. Being young lovers an angry father discovers starts the fires of anger and betrayal.It’s a good story starting at the point where Ellie’s no-good husband was killed and Ellie sees Trig for the first time when she faces accusations.The couple does not easily succumb to their attraction and that’s one of the things that makes it a good second chance book. They are not getting along at the same time they are looking out for one another.

It really was a good read.The story at times had me sitting on the edge of my seat and some parts were surprising and others were anticipated.I will tell you again and recommend you to read it. Give a try. I look forward to reading more of Beyond Asher.Beth(not Elree)

Trig and Ellie’s story is not as exciting as Eli and Jen’s but it was definitely a good one. I loved the tough as nails way Trig comes into the legal side of the family business. He won’t stand to be put in his place by anyone. Ellie doesn’t have a chance when he decides she will be his again. They had so much to get through to find their happiness.Definitely a great new series!!

This book was great, I was enthralled and the chemistry between the characters is great! I highly recommend this book!

Well Brynne Asher has done it again. I loved this book and read it in one sitting. Her writing grips you from start to finish. Her characters are flawlessly written and the plot is full of twists and turns. I loved the chemistry between Trig and Ellie and how they overcame their past. I'm not going to say anything about the storyline as you really need to experience it for yourself. This author never disappoints. Highly Recommend.

What a difference 10 years made to what could have been. But 10 years or not, they ended up where re they belonged.

Broken Halo contains everything I really enjoy in a romance - single parent, second chance romance, dual POV, and that little bit of suspense running through the storyline that makes you wonder what exactly is going to happen next.Emotional turmoil probably best describes what Ellie and Trig have gone through, both in the past and the present. Their relationship has been plagued by misunderstandings, tension, frustration, love, hate, grief and loss, decisions made in haste, the impact of lost time - talk about putting my heart through the wringer!I really loved how all the plot twists came together to a rather epic conclusion that somehow managed to tie everything all in together. Broken Halo was a great read, I'm pretty excited about who I think the next main female character will be in The Montgomerys #3.
