Travel must have!
I love this lock! I use them on my suitcase and back pack. Love the fact they are double ended, attach the separate ends to two different objects. You can run it through the zipper tab and the suitcase handle so no one can open your bags. You can also lock the bag to a bar or chair so it can’t be stolen in a public place while traveling. I have one for each piece of luggage and back packs. I don’t travel without them. They are easy to use and you set your own code. Nice quality.

Destroyed by TSA
I like the lock, but I've had two bad experiences with TSA and this lock. The first time, they left the TSA end of the cable open. I had to make a second trip to the airport and find a TSA employee to use a key to put the cable back into the lock. On my most recent trip ( the sixth time I've used the lock, I think) they totally destroyed the lock, opening the non-TSA end. Unfortunately the second cable is still attached to the suitcase and I have to try to cut it off. Maybe the company needs to carry out an education campaign for TSA employees on how to deal with these locks.I complained to TSA, but they replied with a form letter saying that they cannot accept responsibility as locks can be damaged while baggage is being handled or by conveyor belts. I also wrote Lewis N. Clark, but I haven't received a reply.

Love this
So I bought this for my travel backpack I love the longer side I am able to feed the lock thru my top zippers then the bottom part thru the next pocket of my back pack securing both pockets. It was really nice to be able to take it with me and know my backpack is safe and no one will be able to unzip or get into stuff that needs to be secured- the back pack is travel safe so it is uncuttable etc and with the lock just makes it that more secure and gives me that piece of mind thinking of buying a couple more for my luggage

Great For Traveling With Guns
I have a carry permit and intend on bring my gun to other states with reciprocity. When traveling with a gun, you MUST put it in your checked in luggage. I can now lock the gun case with one end and use the other end to secure it to the tubes that stow my roller handle. This way the gun case is locked and you are comfortable with being able to lock the case to your luggage. The combination was easy to set and you can change the combination in the future, if you chose to. I can then lock the gun under the sink of the hotel by removing it from the pole in my suitcase and then use that loop to wrap it around the pipe under the sink. It makes me feel secure that unwanted people can not take my gun and I feel safe when leaving the room.

Alas, one failed me in the middle of a trip
I was rather disappointed, as I'm in the middle of a trip overseas and was hoping to be able to contact the vendor without writing a review, to see if the problem can be corrected. Unfortunately, it does not appear that Amazon offers this service, so I am reduced to writing this review.I have been traveling for about 5 weeks and the three locks that I purchased were working perfectly until today, on a trip where I had just taken two of them along. I was flying from Munich to Barcelona and was asked by security to open my carry on case, which was locked. I was able to unlock it, and lock one of the loops, but the other loop would not lock. When I arrived in Barcelona, got my luggage and went to the Tourist Office at the airport, I had to open my carry on as my hotel information was locked inside. Though I had the correct combination, the lock would not open. The Tourist Office then sent me to Customs, which directed me to another Terminal, where no one could help, and I finally returned to the original terminal and went to the Air Berlin Information Desk for help. He informed me that if I had known the lock was defective BEFORE I came through the arrivals gate, one of the personnel there could have opened it; but once through the arrivals gate, you can not go back. I explained my desperate need, as I had been running around for over an hour and did not even have the address of my guest house, as it was locked inside the case. The man was good enough to offer to cut the lock - which he did, surprisingly with an ordinary pair of scissors. Now I am torn about using the remaining two locks, wondering if they will fail and again leave me running around strange airports for hours. . I left one lock behind in the Munich apartment where I am staying and am left with only one working lock - and the fear that the combination will fail again. I will have to buy another lock on the market here. This is extremely disappointing and has colored my view of these locks - ordinary travel and after 5 weeks one suddenly doesn't work? I had read a review of someone who had this same experience, but not in the middle of a trip.I am both disappointed in the failure of the lock and then concerned that an ordinary pair of scissors can cut through the wire loop.I would appreciate hearing from the vendor about this.UPDATE: 16 days later and on a Sunday, I'm getting ready to fly again on Monday. The second of the three locks has now failed. It won't lock on one side, and following the lead of the first failed lock, it will completely fail. So here I am on a Sunday and flying out in the morning and another failed locked. 67% failure rate and it looks like I'll have to replace all three before this trip is done.

Wish I had these for the last 20 years!
I wish I had had these years ago. I travel a lot internationally, and sometimes you want to not just lock the bag, but make sure that someone behind the scenes can't do the "push thru the zipper with a pencil, open the bag, rip stuff off, and then pull BOTH zipper tabs over to re-close the zipper" business. This double lock solves that problem because you can lock the second loop around your luggage handle, so no one will be able to move your zippers in either direction. The big loop is also long enough that you may be able to hook it through not just your main compartment zipper, but the secondary compartment as well. You can also lock your bag to a luggage rack and catch some rest on the train/bus, knowing that nobody will be able to rip off your suitcase while you sleep or go to the WC. This is a great idea, well made - thank you!
