this tool leaks under pressure
Ran a nitrogen pressure test for a mini-split. Hooked this tool up to one of the service ports. Happened to have a different higher quality core removal tool on the other service port. Filled the system with 450 PSI nitrogen and heard a steady hiss, and watched the pressure gauge steadily drop. Isolated the problem to this unit and made sure it was on tightly. Continued to leak, so finally I removed it and attached the line directly to the service port (without the core removal tool in between). Still left the other (better quality) tool in place. Repressurized the system. No leaks, no pressure drop - it held steady for about 12 hours. I guess I'm not as bad at making/connecting refrigerant flare fittings as I had feared. Verdict: this valve-core removal tool was apparently defective or was made without attention to required tolerances. Had bought two, returning both. Age-old truth: you get what you pay for - a lesson I still have to relearn on occasion. Will now just bite the bullet and buy the higher quality name-brand units at twice the price.

Probably not a fair review
I like that it is slim. Stands a better chance of not binding or bumping into mini-split with service port too close to chassis. However It's not as sexy at the Appion units. Other than that, looks like it will do the job. I wound up returning it just because I was able to get the Appion's to work and they look better and more durable.

Worked as expected
I found that keeping this clean in a sealable bag to keep the cores in is helpful. I would recommend this as a light-duty tool, not that anything is wrong with this but the valves are plastic. This worked well with a 450 psi pressure test with zero leaks. I would recommend it.

Leaked Freon the first time I tried to change a core valve. Very poor quality.
