When I first tried it, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a colorization that looks natural. Some may find it a drawback because it doesn't dye enough, but that is precisely the beauty of it. I use it regularly and no suspects I dye my white hair.

**UPDATE- they have refunded my $ and know about the defective batch. They will let me know when they have the old,,good product back in stock.GARBAGE! TURNED MY BEARD BRIGHT YELLOW! I had been using the product for years successfully. However, they are now shipping clearly defective product. This last tube turned my beard bright yellow and my skin orange. Beware.

Old stuff worked as described, a gradual shampoo. But this new stuff in the green bottle is like actual hair dye. Almost red. Dyes skin for about a day.

I have used this product for a couple years with great success. It gradually reduced my gray. However a purchase in June was clearly a different formula and made my hair reddish and was a much stronger dye. I contacted the company and they said they will be making the old formula available in Sept ’25 and would replace a purchase I made directly from their website with the old formula. 5 stars for the old formula, 1 star for the new formula.

I like the way the brown looks however it's a disaster to use if you're in a guest's shower. I am on the road always staying in random places. Random places including other people's showers and this shampoo is a no go when staying as a guest in someone else's place, especially if they have a shower curtain and/or white towels to dry off with. I have both the black and the brown and the brown is noticeably different and more like a dye. Other customers are right. It stains your skin terribly. It splatters all over the walls of the shower and stains the shower if you don't immediately wash it away. Your hands are stained. It is way more like dye than a shampoo. No lathering or anything. I like the way it looks on my hair but it's hardly worth it considering the mess it makes.The black color is noticeably not as messy. Neither have a scent. It just seems like a product that is not fully developed and not ready for market if you ask me.

05/23 update!!I used this product for 2 months every single day and absolutely no results.The most I got from it is stained pillow*** don’t waste your money ***It stated that it will gradually reduce your gray hair overtime within 40 days or so…Well how is this supposed to work if you as a man will probably get a haircut every month or less.All this did to me is started to from a red layer on my hair and when I cut my hair all the gray appeared underneath.***You have to leave this product on your hair for 5 minutes every time you use it which means every day ******Why not buy the actual hair color that you can leave it for 5 minutes and be done until the next haircut***It was a waste of time trying this product

I rarely write reviews, but I had to write a review about this product. I have light brown hair and very light colored sensitive skin. Every hair dye or darkening product I tried caused a skin reaction. I used this product twice in the shower and didn’t see much of an improvement but then I read some of the reviews about how to use it on dry hair. I wet my hand just a little bit, and worked the product into my dry hair thoroughly. I washed my hands right away and there was no staining. I allowed the product to stay on my hair for about 15 minutes and then rinsed it all out. I was so pleased at how it turned out. I tried it on my chest and lower regions, and it worked equally as well using the same technique. I’m so excited to finally find a product that works that doesn’t cause skin irritation and it’s so easy to use with no mess or staining. I’ve ordered a second tube already just to make sure I have it on hand.
