Scotts LB20040S 40-Volt 140 MPH Cordless Leaf Blower, 2AH Battery & Fast Charger Included

For years, I used a hand held gas powered blower to clean all the hard surfaces around the house after cutting the lawn or moving leaves, mulch, cleaning the gutters etc. It had a forceful yet relatively narrow stream of air that would blow the leaves and grass clippings with considerable force. So much so, that much of the debris would fly into the air requiring me to keep blowing the same areas repeatedly. It was also heavy, needed the usual maintenance that gas powered implements need. It could be difficult to start and its fumes stank especially in the first few minutes of operation.This Scott’s battery powered blower is better in every way. The air stream is not as powerful, but it moves much more air with reasonable, not overwhelming, force. Thus, the yard debris moves along with great efficiency. I do not need to blow the same areas repeatedly. It is also much lighter, no noise at all, virtually maintenance free, a cinch to start and no reek of 2 cycle engine fumes. It is excellent for the typical home owner in cleaning up after mowing the yard or moving leaves off hard surfaces. It is inexpensive, light, quiet, maintenance free, clean and extremely easy to use.My advice, even if your old blower, lawn mower, hedge trimmer etc. is marginally working, get rid of it and get a battery powered replacement. The days of the internal combustion engine are over. I will never again purchase any product powered by one.

After many frustrations in trying to keep my gas leaf blower running and after many hours of research on battery blowers, I made the switch and went with this Scotts Blower. The price was too good to pass up. So far after 6 weeks of use I have no complaints. I have run the blower for 20-30 mins (not in the boost mode the entire time - but about 1/2 of the time) and never ran out of battery. The power is comparable to my former gas blower and has been sufficient in blowing leaves across the yard. My only concern is the battery. I could not easily find a replacement/spare battery for it, even on Scott's site. Hopefully the battery continues to hold its charge for a few years.

I HAVE AN OLD b&d 10 inch. It still seems good after 4 years of use. I don't use it for everything but I doo cut 20+ cords a year and this saw sees a lot of use. When I was looking at what was available I wanted a 14 inch bar as this is the size I use the most. I have gas Echos and these are my favorite saws all are 10+ years old with no major rebuilds. Tried Sithl but was very disappointed. I did not expect much from a 40v saw but was pleasantly surprised. It had good power even when I put an aggressive chain on. The battery lasts a good 20+ minutes after a few charge cycles. The oiler preformed flawlessly and the level is easily watched. I use it on mostly low but high speed cuts faster if needed. We'll see if stands the test of time. I plan to see how much wood it could cut on one full charge and will update this review soon. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

Previously I gave this product one star because I mistakenly assumed that this company wasn’t going honor their warranty, I was wrong. They immediately sent another LST01540S 40-volt 15-inch cordless trimmer to replace mine that quit working. I highly recommend this company and their products.Bob Volkert

The battery lasted 30 minutes. Company knew right away that it was one of their faulty batteries. Just like this has happened before several times. We have been working with them for a new battery for over a month. Just long enough for our return time to expire.

I received and assembled the trimmer today. It appears to be well made and did not observe any short comings. After charging the battery fully I tried it out . I can say that at this time I am totally pleased with its performance and with its reasonable cost when compared to it's competitors. Prior to purchasing this trimmer I looked at the customer reviews in this ad. All 10 or so reviews were for a blower and not the trimmer. Seller indicated that they did not have control over this issue. Just checked the reviews and that has not changed. I gave 3 stars for battery life, there was not a choice for Unknown.

Great power but the high blow mode kicks off after like 15 seconds. I guess it’s to save battery but gets really annoying. Nice for leaves even wet ones

I like this trimmer very much, it is lightweight and easy to use. It sure does beat using a gas powered trimmer!
