I'm very impressed with this rope. We had a big truck make a wrong turn and get stuck in my sons neighborhood in a snow drift and blocked the whole road. I hood on to him with my 2500 Dodge diesel and hit it hard and was able to pull him out of the snow drift. the rope worked wonderful!

Reviewing the ASR Offroad Kinetic Recovery Rope - 1" x 20' (33,500 lb MTS), White. I haven't used it yet, but it appears substantial and well-made. I can't rate its durability because it's new. I intend it for emergency use, so its size for storage in my 4Runner was a consideration. Under tension it would be about an inch in diameter, but when relaxed it's more like an inch and a quarter or more.

We haven't had the need to use it, but my husband was very excited to have it as a part of his tool collection. I'm sure at some point it will serve it's purpose, living out on gravel roads with gravel driveways in the New England weather. Give us Winter season and we'll get back to you on how well it performed.

If you are looking for a recovery strap and aren't sure whether the kinetic ropes are worth the extra cost, I can assure you.... they are! I have only used mine (this and a 3/4" x 20') a few times thus far, but they are amazingly handy - particularly when a recovery situation seems "hopeless" with a normal strap or chain or on extremely slippery/treacherous surfaces such as glare ice or sand.

I use this with my 99 Dodge 1500 to pull people out on the beach. It's better than any strap I've used, and have just enough stretch to avoid jerking. The 33,500 is a bit much for my truck, I should have gone with the 27,000 or whatever it is, but the 33,500 should be great with a 3500 truck.I've used it on a good 20-30 tows, and it's held up great.
