Worthy of more than five measly stars!
This stuff is AMAZING! I've been having both my embroidery machines going with in-the-hoop projects (look on Embroidery Library's website for great designs and lots of tips and tutorials)---3-D lace pumpkins and other lace designs, coasters and potholders. This stabilizer feels like fabric and holds up to intense stitching much better than any other kind I've tried. It completely disappears with a touch of water, which makes for neat edges on coasters and potholders---no teensy bits of stabilizer left behind! You can use a clean (new) paintbrush to dab water along the edges with good results. I use a glass pie pan with a little water in the bottom to soak all the stabilizer out of lace projects. Then, I let them dry on a lint-free cloth. This may be marketed as a stabilizer for lace and other free-standing projects, but it also works really well on fleece throws and towels. I've used it as my only stabilizer on top and bottom for these. Again, this stabilizer holds up well for intense stitching and completely disappears with a dab of water. Another big plus for me is that it's easy to hoop. I'm a picky hooper. :)I almost hate to tell others just how great this product is, because I'm afraid it will be sold out next time I need some! I just ordered my third roll! It's something I will always want to keep a good supply of on hand. I would so hate to run out! It's not available in my small town. I actually found it by accident on Amazon. I thought I'd give it a try, and I absolutely love it! You will not waste your money on this stuff! It truly is a wonderful product.

Love, love this stabilizer!
I have a Brother sewing/embroidery machine and had always wanted to make free standing lace, but the problem was always getting the correct water soluble stabilizer, which was often very expensive. After finding this product listed at a very fair price, I ordered almost double what I thought I would be using anytime soon. It arrived very quickly and after watching a fair number of tutorials on YouTube by fellow embroiderers, I finally gave it a shot with a very simple project. I used only one layer of this stabilizer, with a very fine needle and after holding my breath almost the entire time that my machine labored away, voila! It came out perfect. I then cut around my embroidered piece (being careful not to cut any of the threads), and soaked it for about half a minute in room temperature water. Rubbing the remaining slimy stabilizer off of the thread work, I then pressed it flat between two towels to squeeze the remaining water out and set the piece on a flat surface to dry. OMG! After it had dried, I was amazed. The stitching all held together just fine and it had a slight rigidness to it, which will really help when I want to machine stitch it to my garment. I love this stabilizer and will definitely purchase it again.

Essential Must Have item for machine embroidery
This was recommended to me by several machine embroidery experts for using when making Free Standing Lace or Battenberg Lace. The stabilizer melts cleanly away with warm water.Great value and holds up extremely well when doing intense stitching such as the lace masks or other FSL projects. Perfect stabilizer for linen dish towels and use a layer on top and underneath on terry cloth towels to keep stitches from sinking into the terry. This is a Must Have stabilizer for anyone who does machine embroidery!

Great product!!!
I love this stabilizer! I admit to being very nervous about buying it because I've only ever used Sulky products. I really liked the Sulky Ultra Solvy and then tried the regular Sulky Solvy and it was a huge disappointment! So, I was nervous buying this but the price and roll size was so much better than Sulky products. Does this work? Yes! It is very soft and fabric-like so it is much easier to cut and hoop than the Ultra Solvy, holds up 100 times better than the regular Solvy, dissolves away with complete ease and leaves no residue like the Sulky products do. This dissolves in cool water even so the bright embroidery thread colors don't bleed out. I use it for free standing lace embroidery designs, over t-shirts and terry cloth to keep the stitches from sinking into the fabrics, it dissolves away and leaves a great looking embroidery design and after laundering still looks nice. I would highly recommend this stabilizer. You get a wide enough roll to use with large hoops, and a big enough roll to make a lot of things!

Works like a charm
I use this stuff regularly for machine embroidery - not just for freestanding lace, but also when I am embroidering sleeves or something else where the fabric can't be completely hooped. I just hit it with some adhesive spray, hoop it with this, and I haven't had a poor result yet. Of course, use sense about stitch density when using that method. :) I also use it for lightly stitched designs that need to be stabilized in the hoop, but don't require that the stabilizer remain behind after the work is done (blackwork, etc). It works so much better than the film-style water-soluble that I even use it for topping towels or napped fabric. I found that because those tend to tear from the needle punching through and this doesn't, I get a better result.

My Favorite Stabilizer
This is my favorite for doing embroidery on towels, linen or cotton. Dissolves easily, gives great results.
