So much better than the one I’ve got before. Now I can shucks my own oysters without having to rely on having a boyfriend! 😂

There is a knack to opening oysters and a good, sturdy knife is the key. This knife is beautiful to look at, sturdy and comfortable to hold. The blade is long and narrow enough to be able to wiggle in and cut the muscle and then rock to open the shell. If you look at professional shuckers, they are akin to a sturdy paring knife. Cheap badly designed shuckers are broad/wide. This is an excellent knife for the money. One review slated the gloves. They are cut proof, not stab proof. They are designed to prevent slices, not stabbing with pointy ends of blades, so caution in how you hold the oyster as you shuck it is advised. All in all, brilliant buy.

After reading various reviews, I was overcome with doubts, but having bought this knife and opened a dozen oysters, I was very pleased with the quality of the knife and gloves.

The glove gave the great protection for my hand, highly recommended!

The shucker is very elegant and makes the job so much easier/safer.

The knife was sharp and strong enough to open 45 oysters in one sitting and still look new. Easy to clean with soap and warm water.Gloves were a bit too big but then I’m female with small hands. A choice in glove size would’ve been nice

I won’t be using this for shucking any oysters, I just thought the knife would come in handy in the garden and the cut resistant gloves are useful when I’m doing a bit of DIY. The gloves are great, although I haven’t tried cutting myself yet. The knife could be a bit better quality-wise, but still fine.
