Catit Litter Mat Small 40 x 60 cm

I bought one of these, then bought an Amazon's Basics one for about same price. I've been using this one longer and it is in far better condition than the Amazon one. How long they last depends on density of the woven plastic fibres and on thickness and sturdiness of the underlying plastic - the Amazon one tore very easily, this is more sturdy. This has some of woven top layer coming loose after 2 years, but only a few threads here and there, it is still in good overall condition, whereas the Amazon one is falling to bits after one year.These do a decent job of trapping cat litter and greatly reduce the amount that gets tracked. My cats are fluffy, with medium length hair, and I need a large size to do a decent job - a small one is not enough area to be effective.Only trouble is that it can be hard to fully remove the cat litter bits. Vacuuming does not get rid of all of it - if I shake it out afterwards, it will still give off loads, which goes everywhere.They tend to start smelling after a while, but it is easy enough to clean with hot water and detergent, and dries within 24 hours when hung up.Am buying another to replace the Amazon Basics mat... Never tried any other type, but am thinking about trying the type with 2 layers, due to difficulty of fully removing cat litter from these, but maybe you can't have them both good at trapping cat litter and it being easy to remove it?

I use Cat's best littler. It is superb, however it does tend to go everywhere!! With this mat though I have reduced my hoovering time by half! It is big enough to fit under the litter tray and have about 20 inches free wither side to catch the spray and also when she gets out of the box, it kinda wipes her feet for her. Win win

The mat catches most of the cat litter as my two cats come out of the litter box so I am pleased with my purchase.The only annoying thing is the way it was packaged by the manufacturer, as other reviews have mentioned. It was folded in half lengthwise then rolled up and binded. Once opened up, the mat looks fine BUT if you turn the brand new mat over, you can clearly see the folding has weakened and damaged the back as the material looks like it’s about to crack so I have knocked a star off for that. Only time will tell how long it will last….but for now, it’s doing the job I bought it for.

very durable ,easy to sweep and keeps the litter area clean and tidy

Works well for catching litter when cat comes out of tray, a bit awkward to clean, but not sure how this could be made easier and still function well. I shower/hose mine down every now and then.

Let’s just say it’s a good size ,con - it smells god awful ink for days ! And doesn’t catch crap ! My advise is avoid

Worth the money, you can see the amount of litter trapped in the mat that would otherwise be on your furniture and floors! Would recommend x

Arrived quickly but very tightly rolled so one end was quite crushed. Has never really completely flattened. It does the job well of trapping the loose litter as the cat leaves her litter tray which can be emptied back into the tray.
