RingsideMexican Style Boxing Hand Wraps (Pair)

You can never go wrong with Ringside. I love these wraps! The elastic in the fabric is great and once you wrap your hands with these, you can definitly feel the difference when you compare it to most other wraps. Extremely comfortable, especially when you land your punches, you could punch all day with these wraps. Great support and protection from messing up your wrists or hands when training and has a wider and more of an elastic feel than other brands. I have a black pair of everlast 120' and they are decent, but at the same price of these Ringside 180's, I would go with Ringside, definitly if you also have big hands and forearms.I perfer the longer wraps so the 180's are perfect for me since I like to spread each of my finger gaps with a wrap going through. Some like to do one or two or none at all, I like doing all three and I also like wrapping halfway down my forearm like the Mui Thai fighters do. When I was young, my boxing coach wrapped my fists like that before sparring when I didn't know how to wrap and it was so comfortable, I learned to wrap that way and I never wrapped another way after that. So again, that's why I perfer the longer 180's. They feel like the ones I used in boxing too, unlike the Everlast wraps that did feel a little off to me, but that is just me. Nothing against Everlast, I like them too, but I like Ringside products more, just my taste.Another plus is that you can choose which color you perfer too! I got blue since it is my fav color. They also have more traditional colors like black and red, I wouldn't perfer the white or yellow colors. Stains (especially blood stains) would be alot more noticable... then again, you're not trying to look pretty and clean when you're ready to get down to business. Also they have pink wraps for the ladies. These wraps are the only ones that I have seen that have printing by the thumb loop that shows which side should be down. Lol it happens to the best of us when we don't pay attention and accidently wrap with the handwrap upside down, not noticing until the end when you use the velcro. That is pretty much it for these amazing wraps. The only negative I could find is that if you're like me and have big forearms, when you finish wrapping, the velcro barely reaches the patch it sticks to.

These are really high quality elastic wraps. I use them exclusively for boxing practice.

These are great for boxing. Provides great wrist support and very light weight. Simple design and easy to wrap.

The material and function are fine. They'll do the job. However, when you order from a brand like Ringside, you expect quality. These (white wraps) showed up with some discoloration, and the "This Side Down" stamp on one wrap is in the wrong side. I've corrected it with a sharpie, but why should I need to? I'm sooooo tired of these products going out with these obvious flaws. Does anybody do quality control anymore? The discoloration is minimal, but looks like they may have been returned by somebody else. Again... Not the quality you expect from Ringside. I'll keep them because at least they're both 180" and they do what they're supposed to do. But yeah, I'm still a little disappointed.

Good wraps need to hold up to regular use and washing. These check both boxes for me. They are washed in a mesh bag and air dried after each use and so far so good! Gotta protect the hands and this length allows you to do just that. It's long enough to get good coverage and layering.

I really didn't care for these. Why? Because the "elastic" didn't hold up, so they didn't stay snug. I know these aren't supposed to stretch a lot, but they are supposed to have enough elasticity to stay snug on your hands. These don't. I bought 2 sets and never even used the 2nd one. My experience? I'm no hardcore boxer. A few years ago, I took an MMA type class...3x a week for 6 months. Had 2 sets of RevGear 180" wraps (supplied by the Instructor). They were my only experience before these. Those held up, didn't twist much and lasted through several wash cycles. Fast forward, I decide to go back to some of the same type of training, but only wrap up once a week. I purchased these because I just wanted fresh ones. Well, after about 5 uses, they would loosen up and not stay snug. What really drove me crazy was they would twist and fold when I was re-wrapping them. I began to wonder if I was going to have to iron them. I always re-rolled them after each use, but somehow, that didn't seem to help. I threw the set I'd been using away and bought a different brand. Interestingly, my friend borrowed my other pair of Ringside's (used maybe once, if ever). We'd never discussed my opinion of them and while she was wrapping up, she commented she didn't like them because the elastic wasn't good. I thought it might have just been me, but doesn't sound like it. The positives are the color didn't fade or stain and they are not flimsy. Velcro is plenty good.
