Good lights

I had an old backlight on my PC screen which I could turn on and off with a switch, I wanted a new one just the same. But all the new ones seem to be multicolored and you control them with a remote control or a mobile app. I decided to go with these bluetooth ones because they seemed the best length for my screen at the best price. I was expecting the controls for them to be horrible but I couldn't find one with a physical switch like I wanted. The Android app to control them works, but it is a bit weird and not all the features on it work. But after a bit of searching I found out that I could actually control these LEDs from my PC using a bluetooth connection and a little Python script using the trionesControl module so I now have my backlight matching my desktop wallpaper and can set up a timer to turn them on and off from my PC. They aren't what I was looking for, but now I have them I am pleasantly surprised.

First set arrived in a timely manner but failed to operate. Aftersales service is very good and resolved our issue by quickly sending a replacement. The strip adheres well to the TV. The product, remote control and Alexa control (through their own app) is a very useful addition to our TV watching experience. The only minor negative is that, while the set readily produces a miriad of colours it cannot achieve a pure white light - the best having a blue tint. Maximum brightness would benefit by being increased (but then I suppose it would not readily run from the TVs USB, which is very convenient.) Overall, as long as you are not wanting pure white, the kit is well made almost functions as we wanted and is supported by good customer service.

Remote control wasn’t working so I tried to take battery out and it’s broken the battery insert. So I thought ok I’ll manually use it by turning it on by switch. The lights don’t stay on. Not fit for purpose.

the product sticks well and is easy to apply, however I bought three sets of the same lights. one set works perfectly and remote changes them to desired colour fine, one set works well on set colour when tv is on and they are on, but when the tv is off and the less have been switched off they randomly flash on and off every so often by themselves which is annoying. the third set has one colour at the top half of tv and a different one at the bottom, no matter what I press on the remote ( even tried the remotes for the other less) I can't change it to the same colour all the way around so not sure if its just a faulty set or not. overall a mixed bag of success with using these lights. but they were pretty cheap to buy .

Ordered two led lights to use as a backlight for my (translucent) shoe rack and it looks like a masterpiece!! Unboxing/Installation: Comes with lots of instructions, rolled light strip w/ usb plug and plastic sticky anchor points. I made sure to test the lights before installing on my shoe rack and they worked great. The installation was somewhat easy, the hardest time I had was trying to curve the light strip itself (not the wire connection points) to fit the dimensions of my shoe rack and maintain the sticky strip to my shoe rack at those corner points. I used anchor points to try to reinforce the connection from the light strips to the shoe rack. After a few weeks/months we’ll see how long it lasts (hopefully it lasts forever). Once the light strips were placed successfully on my shoe rack I plugged in one of my cellphone power packs and BOOM magic!! Check out the video. Strips: Very sturdy. The lighting consists of 4 light strips connected by 3 wires and a usb wire. The sticky strip is very sticky, even after several readjustments, just press down for several seconds to reinforce the connection with the light strip to whatever you’re connecting it to. Cornering the light strip section itself is tricky If it’s not done at the wire connection points, used the anchor points to help reinforce/support the light strip for cornering. Lighting: The lights are very bright and get fairly dim. The colors are crisp and clean. The color selection is great. The light animation is fun (and interactive if you chose that setting). The light strip only displays one color at a time. App: Connection to the app was very simple and found my lights with no problem. I was able connect both of my lights. I can adjust both light simultaneously or individually. Lots of different settings to play around with in the app. It doesn’t support WiFi enabled feature such as Alexa or Google assistant. Works great when playing music from within the app or listening to music/sounds not in the app on “Tape” mode. Also has a schedule feature that I haven’t tried yet. Overall: Great product I would highly recommend.

I mean, it do light up and there is an app. It connects to the tv via BT which turns it on and off with the tv. However, it does not change colours with what's on the screen which was my intent but that's on me for not reading the instructions properly.

theres gaps in between strips for changing strip direction which makes them perfect for a tv. they are black with clear epoxy resin on top to seal the leds in. All the lights are the same color with no discoloration out of the box and every color looks accurate and bright. the app auto connects to them from your phone so no extra setup work just plug in, install app and play. they feel a bit warm but thats any light out there. they set a nice atmosphere in my room too... There are cheaper quality strips(some more expensive) on amazon but these nexillumi strips are great at only a few more dollars then any of the nameless strips on amazon... well worth the $46(23 and 23) i paid to rgb the back of my tv and the underside of my desk. both strips can be controlled with my phone. its awesome. 3 years ago i paid $120 for 4 16" exterior strips from walmart and those have adhesion issues and discolored leds(out of the box defective) in places. i dont think im going to have those problems with these strips and i paid less; so to me thats a good deal that id recommend to anyone looking to improve the quality of life in the home or office..
