Hello All,I'm a cd guy. Always have been, always will be. I refuse to stream and I'll never go vinyl. I also NEED the convenience of a cd carousel (like the old Sony and Pioneer mega changers), however they are long gone. A single disc cd player will not work for me. I have a very high end system consisting of Dynaudio, Rotel, Simaudio, SVS, with Transparent, Shunyata, and Voodoo cabling throughout. So music and especially detail matter. I will not sacrifice sound quality no matter what. What to do nowadays as I need both conveneince and quality???? I looked at the Bluesound for cd ripping purposes but that unit needs to be connected to your router which was not an option for me as my router is on another floor. So I came across The Brennan B2! I read some reviews, checked out their website and pulled the trigger. I went with the 240G unit. As soon as I got it I started ripping cd's like a crazy man all the while hoping/wondering (this was the first time in my life I have ever ripped a cd) if this unit and Flac files really are 100% = to cd sound. Once I finished ripping I connected the Brennan to my Schiit Audio Bifrost 2 DAC via a Lifatec toslink (cannot recommend this cable enough) and then my DAC to my preamp via Voodoo Essence XLR interconnects. Fired up the first song as anxious/nervous as can be and was IMMEDIATELY blown away! Holy s**t! It really is true, the sound quality is every bit equal, nothing is lost or muddled - and believe me through my system I would know! Not only now am I back being able to listen to my cd's again but I am able to literally sit in my sweet spot and have access to over 2000 songs (and expanding as I'm buying cd's again) with the touch of a button through my cell phone with the Brennan app. Are you kidding me???!!! This unit is simply the end all and be all, LOL! I have convenience, accessability and most importantly of all cd SOUND QUALITY!!!Honestly if you're like me and want cd conveneince and access to multiple cd's without leaving your chair and sound quality, get this unit! It is super easy to operate and connect, it is super convenient, and it is super sounding! By the way the 240G has more than enough storage for me (I am around 200+ cd's in and have not even even hit the 1/2 way storage capacity). If you don't do vinyl and do not want to stream, the Brennan B2 is the solution! This thing is life changing, LOL!

I'd been looking for something like this for ages - a tool that could rip all my old CDs but could also play through Sonos wireless speakers. It does just that and I've ripped a large percentage of my collection now and am thoroughly enjoying listening to a bunch of CDs I haven't listened to in ages.Getting set up was a bit fiddly - the wireless dongle they sent didn't work (customer service were very quick to offer a replacement) so I used a LAN cable which involved taking the back off the machine as the internet cable slot is inside not outside. There's also a few weird quirks - not sure what the SDD card is for but flipping back and forth is not easy as some of the settings controls don't work.Minor issues though am really happy with it generally. Can control it through the App, computer or Sonos all work fine.

My CD player, with nearly 300 CDs in it, died and is no longer made or supported. I found the B2, and it is an amazing little piece of equipment. I have been able to rip all my CDs, and not only are they stored on the B2, they have been backed up to a thumb drive and downloaded onto an external hard drive on my computer. The sound quality on playback is great as well, and after a week or two, I utilized the optical connection and hooked the B2 to my amp and that is working great as well. I also really like the internet radio connections. In short, I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I have saved a great deal of space, no longer having the large CD player, but instead, having this small,but powerful piece of equipment.

Wow!!! Completely shocked got it up and running at 12 by 2:30 it had crashed 6 times. Discs are replicated 8 times settings don't save and instructions are lacking...... there is no logic whatsoever in the way this unit operates at all.... tried load and listening at the same time crash... load image crash, RIP disc speak softly leave room crash. I'll replace and see what happends.

Good quality useful device that had it all in one small box .Easy to use from any device including web UI. Thank you

After ripping about half of our CD's (over 110 albums) it has only used 44 GB out of 240GB, I will have plenty of room.Now we would like to buy a second unit so I can use the same playlist in my home office but this option does not seem to be available.Had difficulty getting suitable Banana plugs for speaker leads as all I could find are all metal and touch each other so it needed insulation tape wrapped around.

Product is tailored specifically as a music server unlike other products.Suggest the software go an extra mile to enable backup to the cloud.
