Whole lotta fun in this box!
Purchased for my 4 year-old grandson who is right now big into crafting things. This box kept us busy for a whole week! The materials included are nice quality, and just the right amount, which is to say we didn't run out of anything and we didn't have too many leftovers. The instructions were fairly easy, but we could have used some more coaching on how to use the adhesive strips provided. We didn't understand the difference between stickers and sticky adhesive strips and dots right away, so ended up using some of our own tape in places, and we probably would not have had to. BUT, the results were big and bright and bold and beautiful! 4 year-old could do almost everything by himself, but Grandma hovered so his 2 year-old sister could help do a few things too, and because the projects were just plain fun! These were great to display because they turned out so well. They would make a wonderful activity for a kids' party. Definitely recommend!

Cute as a Bug in a Rug
I got these for my 4 yr old daughter for Christmas, and we really enjoyed them. She's a budding artist, and has every craft supply imaginable. We've also done a TON of little kits. I'd say this rates in the top 3 kits we've done. She didn't get bored, I didn't end up doing the whole thing while she watched, and they turn out really cute. We are going to hang them from the ceiling in her playroom. I really like that all the bugs are packaged individually. It makes it easy to grab a bag and start working.Tips: Use a stapler for the plates and other parts. The glue stick doesn't work very well at all. I also used Elmer's when possible.I wasn't sure what to do with the sheet of circle and bar stickers, so I ended up using them to help attach pieces. For example, the buttons as the top of antennas were taped to the Popsicle stick, and the caterpillar legs were taped on the back of the plate. All in all a good project I'd recommend.

My 3 year old loves this toy!
My mom bought these for my 3 year old's birthday party. All of the kids from 3 to 6 loved making these bugs. They have nice paper plates, glue, buttons, stickers, and crepe paper that you decorate the bugs with. This has become my daughter's favorite toy. She love's glueing everything together and it actually keeps her busy for more that a few minutes. She will work on these bugs for a half an hour or more. We purchased a second bug plate set because we ran out of the first one. It's a very creative toy, that includes pre-schoolers favorites: stickers, glue and popsicle sticks.

Fun and easy crafts
We bought this craft kit for our 3 year old daughter. She's made all of the bugs and had a great time doing it. This activity needs full adult supervision and is an easy way to sit down and make something together that actually has a cool final product. We hung all of the bugs on the wall in her room and she loves to look at them. What's nice is that they're actually neat looking and brightened up the wall, making it look very fun and colorful. The only reason I wouldn't give it full stars is that the glue that comes with the pack is awful and the bugs were falling apart. We tried some basic elmers and it helped a little, but some of the buttons and other pieces would only stick when we used hot glue. If your kid is like mine and wanted to play with the bug for a bit before you hang it up, you'll probably need a hot glue gun so your legs and antennae don't fall off immediately.

Lots of fun and bonding with my 2 1/2 year old
My daughter loved doing these projects. I must tell you that the glue stick is not very good. I did have my daughter use it though for practice and I added liquid glue when she was done. Each project used at least one new decorating skill from the others. Also note that the directions may be on the bottom of the box and an extra set of stickers to reinforce the gluing. I liked that each projects materials were packaged individually. Made it easy to bring the caterpillar project to our campsite. I was able to keep my daughter quiet while my Mom was still sleeping. My daughter was able to create each bug in her own way. She asked everyday to do a new one. Some took two sessions. The bee is hanging in our dining room. The butterfly is on our front door. My daughter points them out to visitors that she made them and will have full conversations about them. We have since bought the tissue paper/ sticker box and are working our way through it. I bought the craft bucket for a birthday gift for her friend. Definitely worth the money and time spent making them.
