It WORKS! Ring off in 10 minutes!
You need a second person to operate the tool effectively. I had my platinum wedding ring removed in less than ten minutes. The blade feels flimsy, but it’s sharp and it CUTS! You have to cut your ring in two places in order to remove. Highly recommend. Saved myself so much money.

It Works!
I paid less than 5 dollars for this, and it was so worth it! I was a bit nervous about it (cutting off my own ring? Scary!) but it was very easy and this tool works great. You do need help because you need two hands to use this (one holds handle down, other turns knob thing so it cuts through the ring). It's possible to do this yourself with patience but I really wouldn't suggest it. I tried and made a slight dent but I waited until I could have someone around and with help I was done in less than five minutes. Overall it seems like good enough quality and I did not get hurt at all. I guess now I have it in case anyone else needs it. :) If you are desperate or in pain....go to a professional. But if your ring is just really stuck but you aren't in pain...I'd say buy this! :) Okay, infomercial over...I just am happy to have my ring off.

Worked once......
Got this to remove my wedding ring that was stuck, and it was either this or the fire department. Came on time with Prime shipping, but is very cheaply made. The blade wobbles and does not stay lined up with the groove that is to protect the finger. It took several minutes to cut through a very thin gold band, and left a lot of metal shards and shavings everywhere. The rotating blade will need to be sharpened to get more than one use of it.Overall: works, if you only need it to work once or have the tools/capability of sharpening the blade.

Works!
The stone fell out of my engagement ring and I had been wearing it so long ( and gained weight) that I couldn’t get it off. I didn’t like the idea of a jeweler trying to cut it off and figured a $10 tool was worth a try. It works just as advertised. I was a little worried about a sharp saw so close to my finger but I needn’t have worried.

It works really well.
It definitely works. But I do not, let me repeat Do Not suggest using it with one person. There are other units for that. This is not one of them. I'm so thankful I had a extra pair of hands. But it most definitely works. Less than 10 mins once we got going.

This tool struggles and is somewhat flimsy
Well, the item was barely functional. It would ride up into the ring clip and the cutting wheel would kick off to the side and tighten around my finger. Pretty painful. We restarted about 4 times and finally managed to cut the ring off. But it was not easy or painless or even efficient. I'll never use this tool again that's for sure.

Easy and quick!
This was not prime when I ordered it and it took a very long time to get here (seemed to keep getting lost) but the second it came I opened it, checked the blade to make sure it was facing the right direction and got to work on my platinum engagement ring that had gotten a bit too small (they shrink, did you know that??). I was able to start the cut but I couldn't finish it on my own so I got my son to help me and within a minute or two I had the ring severed. But I needed to make another cut to try to get my finger out. It was so easy to cut a second place in the band. Then we just stretched it out a little and the ring popped right off. The tool looks like it could keep cutting metal without a problem!! I'm very pleased with this purchase! Since the jewelers don't cut off tons anymore and want you to go to the ER I'm so glad to have the option to buy my own and do it myself at home. (Who wants to go to the ER because you're too fat for your ring??!!). Lifesaver!! Definitely worth the money!! Directions did not come with it but it's easy to figure out. Put the lower curved metal piece under your ring to protect your finger, lower the wheel and keep your thumb on the wheel, turn the "key" away from you to turn the wheel to make the cut. Easy!

Works
Cut the ring off my wife’s finger without hurting her and doing minimal damage to the ring so it could be repaired. Instructions for proper use would have been nice, but not needed easy to figure out.
