Barnabas Blattgold Gold Leaf - 12K Real Gold [25 Sheets, 3.4 inches] - Transfer Patent for Painting, Arts and Crafts

Used this gold leaf on some outdoor decorative plaques. This was my wife's 1st attempt at gilding and the patent sheets really helped her manage the leaf. She did not use a clear overcoat as this is not recommended or needed for high carat gold. Good product and would purchase again.

This is the best leaf gold. Last year when it ran out I was really in a pinch. Hope that does not happen again.

My first attempt at this. I watched a video where they pick up the gold leaf with a tweezer but I found using this product much easier because the leaf came on a piece of tissue paper which was much easier to handle. It also made for less waste of the gold leaf. I’d use this again.

Very impressed with the quality and usability. Transfer works very well and the finish is nice. Makes a beautiful addition to Orthodox iconography.

Overall good transfer 23k gold, no problems using. I would give 5 star but a handful of leaves in a 25 pack have large, "lightning bolt" pattern irregularities that show up when it is smoothed and buffed. Certainly can expect some irregularities unless using "glass gold" but this seems to be a bit more common than in gold from the other vendor I've used. This may or may not be a problem for you depending on what you're doing. It is not the best look for my purposes

After so many duds this one passed the gold test. If you want the real 24K, this one is it! If you’re curious if it’s real or not, a quick test is to light a little of the gold leaf on fire. Gold shouldn’t change color or turn into ashes.. if it turns a burnt silver gray ash, it’s not real gold. You can also do the jeweler’s acid test, but that gets tricker, or leave it in vinegar for the night. If it turns green/blue it’s not gold. Thank you for selling what was advertised! First time using gold leaf. Found these to be very nice and easy to apply.This seems like a high quality and very professional product.Happy with this purchase and I have repurchased as needed. Compared to other online sources the price seemed standard and reasonable.

It was golder than any gold I ever had. It also tastes delicious as well. It goes well with eggs as well
