Dare to Wear Renaissance Corset Dress: Timeless Victorian Gothic Witchy Women's Gown for Everyday Halloween Cosplay Festivals

I don't even know where to begin with this dress. Literally everything about it is awful. I wouldn't normally be so harsh but for this price??? If I'm paying almost $100 for a dress it had better be good/actually what I ordered. The dress I received is not even CLOSE to the ones they have pictured. When it arrived I thought maybe I just accidentally ordered the wrong one. Nope. Just good ol' fashioned false advertising. I've attached pictures to show the differences - of which there were many.1. There was no lace at the neckline2. There were two dinky little drawstrings instead of the one large center drawstring3. The waist was way higher than pictured (and not because it was too small, it was a little loose if anything)4. There was no lace at the waist, just a boring seam5. The sleeves were not bell sleeves with lace in the middle, they were just straight long-sleeves6. The dress was way shorter than pictured (again, not because it was too small. Just incredibly short)7. The fabric quality is what you would expect from a $12 dress at Ross; just a plain polyesterI am honestly confused why this dress has so many good reviews. Did their quality just go downhill and they thought no one would notice? This is one of the most disappointing purchases I have made on amazon. I can't believe they are getting away with this for the price.

Other than the fact that I think the price is just a bit on the high side, I don't have anything bad to say about this dress. It shipped incredibly fast, and came without any problems.Some other reviewers are saying the fabric is too thin-- I can't vouch for the other colors seeing as I selected the "Midnight" one, but there is nothing wrong with this fabric-- it's quite robust, stretchy, and drapes very nicely. The only way I could see it being too see-through would be if the dress was too tight and you had to stretch it to stay on. I ordered the 2x and that is my normal size from most retailers, it fits perfectly, sliding right on, but is not stretching out anywhere nor is it sagging anywhere. My measurements are 44", 40", 50", if that helps.I wore it when I went to go help do makeup for a friend's film, and upon doing makeup, was told I could ride the horses there for the shoot (I didn't even know there would be horses there!) Needless to say, this dress survived without a snag, as I rode a galloping horse across a field for the first time.I also wore the dress to church the next day and received tons of compliments on it. It's beautiful and has that vicorian gothic look without being over-the-top.Love it, love it, LOVE it, and I will definitely be purchasing more Dare to Wear Victorian clothing in the future!!

THANK YOU DARE FASHION for making all my witchy dreams come true. This dress is comfy and adorable!I ordered a size 1X. I'm 5'5, bra size 36D and at least before the holiday I was around 165lbs. DEFINITELY make sure your bust size is correct because everything below the waist flares out, but the chest area is fitted. I think I possibly could have sized down just because it fits my bust nicely but my shoulders are relatively narrow, so the neckline feels wide on me. However, IMO it's better to go too big than too small.There is a lacey waist cincher just below the bust (I mention this because in one of the model photos she doesn't have it for some reason - I assure you it's there!!!) but the material is stretchy, soft, and comfortable. Sleeves are indeed both flowy and witchy. The skirt comes down to my knees.Finally, I can't believe how fast this showed up. I ordered Dec. 28th and it was on my doorstep the 30th. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with both the product and service. It's worth the money to buy quality work from an American manufacturer. Will definitely be making more purchases from them!

I really wanted to love this dress. The pattern and colors are beautiful. I purchased the blue/green print (Peacock is the name, I think). Fit was good, except the dress was too short on my 5’7” frame to be flattering. I intended to wear it with boots for a stylish boho/romantic look, but because it fell short of my knees, it looked too young for my fit mature figurel- like a babydoll style. Had it been longer, it would have been perfect. I returned it and purchased the top in the same pattern, which is great. Still, would love to have this in a dress a few inches longer.

Really beautiful! A wonderful product for a great price! But two spots of very noticeable discoloration around the collar as soon as I opened it.

I absolutely love this dress. A sequen did fall off, but I kinda expected that. It fits nicely on my body shape (a plus size hourglass). I'm not super busty (44D), and it sits just right. If you have a larger bust it might not sit well, and look a bit odd due to where the lace and ribbon end is. I'm about 5'9" and it came to about my knees. My shirt size is 24 and my pant is 26, which my usual dress size is 24 or 3x depending on how it's numbered, but do not buy your regular size! Use their provided size chart. In their clothes I'm a 4x. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Likes:- Arrived before the estimated delivery date (always a plus in my book)- Fits very nicely: not too big, not too small. Also not too short, hangs down to my knees (and I'm 5'11")- Product design exactly as shown- I love the lace detail on the sleeves, around the elbow: it breaks up all the solid black material and keeps it looking feminine, without making it look like a Halloween costume.Dislikes:- Material is a little thin and can be seen through: if you don't normally wear something under your dresses, I would recommend wearing a slip or something underneath this oneI would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice dress, because of the thin material, it makes this dress something that you can also wear in the summer (despite the longer sleeves), Haven't found any major flaws in either the design or the quality, so until then, I will look forward to ordering from this seller again :)
