Works great buy it
Oregon brand stuff always works great no complaints. Tell you exactly if you have a good strong spark or weak to non existing spark. I use to use the old put the plug on the head method but as i get older i want something i dont have to fight as much. This is needed for any small engine repair of any kind for quick diagnostic and repairs. I would buy again if this goes out but with the quality of this tool i doubt ill ever have to great purchase

Good Spark Tester
This is a great product. I bought this spark tester because I was repairing lawn mowers. It works well.Cons:-The spark would be easier to see if the back of the tester window black.-The clamp is a little stiff but it holds well.Pros:-There is a cover over the spark chamber so it is safe to use.- It is simple and made out of quality materials so it will last a while.- It is easy to use. For small engines, you just put the spark plug lead from your engine on the long metal rod that sticks out from the spark tester and you clip the clip onto one of the cooling fins of your engine. When you spin the flywheel or pull the starter cord you should see a small spark go between the two contacts inside the chamber of the tester. This is a good, high-quality product.

Every DIY small engine fixer should have one.
I had one years ago and loaned it away. Don't use it every day but way easier than using a spark plug, positive indication you have or do not have spark.

It's a good spark tester
This is a better way to check spark than the old way of laying a spark plug across the cylinder. The large gap is key to testing whether you have a good strong spark/coil. At normal outside air pressure, a good spark should jump a larger gap and the spark plug you pulled out of the cylinder won't have that gap so even a weak coil will be able to spark across the plug.
