XV15 Micro Replacement Stylus (needle) for Pickering and Stanton Cartridges

I bought these to fit in a pair of Stanton 680EE cartridges that hadn't been used in nearly a decade. I did a bunch of shopping and found a wide range of prices, all the way up to $80 each. I decided to go with not quite the cheapest I could find, but close, to see if I could hear the difference. And I can, right off the bat. Absolutely worth it, and didn't break the bank. A note, these are actually Pfanstiehl needles, the Pfanstiehl model is 4606-DEG. I had read some not-so-flattering reviews of Pfanstiehl needles, but I think these are great. I'm listening to a wide mix, from classic jazz and bossa nova to modern house, rap, and heavy metal - they shine on all styles. I was excited about the needle brush (I'd never used one before) but found that it was weighted bizarrely and caused skipping, so I removed it (which was simple and required no tools). I'll be interested to see how long they hold up.

The stylus did not fit my Pickering cartridge and had to be returned. I am awaiting the refund.

The stylus is working fantastic. Should been five stars if the little brush was arrived in good conditions. Unfortunately some hairs was plyied backward and there is no way to fix them. Normally I keep off the brush for a better sound, so it is not a problem for me, but, pay attention, please...

Hate to give it 3 stars, but the ad description was a little misleading. It says it "fits most V15 cartridges". It should say, "Does not fit all V15 cartridges." I can't honestly review performance since it did not fit. I returned the cartridge and they refunded the price. However, i was out the cost to send the part back. Overall a losing situation for me. I don't blame them 100%, but they obviously know it may be problematic.

This was for the PICKERING cartridge in my 1954 vintage GARRARD model 301 turntable .I modified its VELVET TOUCH tonearm in 1967 to accept a stereo cartridge,which admittedly has been in there many years .It still sounds great,however .It just needed a new stylus .My old vinyl still sounds good . Fit was perfect and price fair . Came securely packaged .

don't buy this needle. it is not durable, easy to break. needle arm is not stable.

The "stylus" part works fine/perfectly the brush doesn't. It vibrates and hammers on the vinyl album I had to remove it to use the needle.

I was hesitant about this Stylus at first. I thought to myself, this is too inexpensive to be any good. It fix in the XV-15 cartridge perfectly. It sounds great. I think this cartridge/stylus combination is excellant. I do not use the dust brush mounted on the stylus holder. Never could get it to work correctly.
