Smooth reel! But Canadians need to be ready for the bill!
Very nice reel but Canadians beware. Exchange and shipping greatly increased my orders price! My own fault. Crappy Exchange rate, duty and shipping really pumped the price...This reel was not available on Amazon.ca and I wanted it... But holy crap did I pay...Can't wait to use it once summer returns.

Fantastic reels
Too bad Abu Garcia discontinued this reel since they are excellent reels. My wife and I both have 6601 LH reels which we have caught many salmon including all 5 species of Pacific salmon and also steelhead. Wish I had bought another one for a spare. Best reel by far we have owned.

Two things to note.1. Model #6601 is left handed reel and #6600 is right handed reel.2. Mine came with a power handle which is a single knobbed handle slightly larger than the one on the picture.
