1 Oz Plastic Cylinder Bottles with Flip Top Pour Spout, Pack of 12

stiff plastic, top leaks
The plastic these containers are made of is very stiff and that plus the small size makes them very difficult to squeeze. Also, the cap leaks. You have to make sure the tip is flipped up exactly 90 degrees from the top. A little less or a little more and the product comes out around the base of the tip and makes a mess everywhere. These were recommended by Andrew Skurka's backpacking blog. I would not buy them again.

Weird to love a plastic bottle?
I do love these little bottles. I travel often, and these little 1 oz bottles are great. They don't leak, they dispense the product well, and I find the size to be great for when I am out of town for 1-2 weeks. I love the flip top, because it is secure and easy to manage, but flips up easily and makes getting the right amount of product easy. You don't have to tip it upside down, rather a measured squeeze, will do you just right, which I like. I have filled them with everything from facial soap, aftershave balm, moisturizer and other products, and haven't had any of the bottles break or leak. Overall, I would say the are superior to anything you would find at your local store (the plastic is thicker than what you would find at your local pharmacy or discount retailer). This is why I use Amazon, for products like these. I won't find anything as high quality in a regular store, and I am not going to take the time to try and hunt them down at some brick and mortar specialty store. Buying them here was easy and convenient.Just be careful if two products look the same, and your not wearing your glasses early in the morning when getting ready it is easy to mix them up. Really the only way to label them is with a sharpie, but I don't like doing that, so I just double check to make sure I am using the right bottle for the right thing.

Probably good to trust reviewers on this product.
So, first off I am not going to give this too bad of a rating because these are decent quality, cheap plastic bottles... I bought them for the purpose of holding a small amount of cooking oil for when I go camping for a few days. Having said that, they probably where not designed for this task. They do leak if left laying on its side with the spout closed. They do leak if pressure is applied while it is also closed. But with a little bit of thread tape it will stop the leak. Also, I plan to buy some o-rings of the proper size that will fit inside the cap and see if that will also prevent the leak. That way I am not using thread tape every time I take the cap off. Hopefully it will be a permanent fix.So, overall not a bad product. But they do need work, or perhaps they can come with orings already in the cap to make a proper seal.I opted to go against what some reviewers said about it leaking since I noticed on past purchases a lot of complaints of one specific thing, only to buy the product and it be not true. But in this case, they were correct. So, if you do still continue to purchase this product, be prepared for them to leak.

holds pretty tight
I filled it 3/4 with a cleaning solvent and drove to a location. It did not leak, and I don't think it will. However, it does dribble. So, when I arrived and started to use the bottle, there was some dribbling on the side of the cap. It cleaned up fine, and when I arrived home, it had not leaked. Good price, the right size for me, it did not leak during travel. So for me, it is a winner since size and not leaking when carrying it were the key requirements.

BACKPACKERS....... READ ME!!!
I use these bottles for backpacking so I need to be EXTRA careful about how seal-tight the caps are. These bottles are made of a very hard plastic and somewhat difficult to squeeze. They are still good bottles and I REALLY like the flip tops. This system is more secure than the cap style of other bottles. I have had those break before. That being said..... What I have found works the best for me is to buy the bottles I have linked below and use the tops from these bottles on them. That is by far the best solution. And because the bottles linked below are slightly smaller, it will save some pack weight too.http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E3TZUE0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00

Great product for the money
These are the perfect size for travelling. So far I have only used them for shampoo and conditioner. The bottles are a little difficult to squeeze due to the hardness/stiffness of the plastic. When I do dispense the shampoo it pushes out where the spout is connected to the bottle. It does not leak because it is creamy and not a true liquid like an oil. I am afraid an oil may leak. All in all, I am very pleased. It serves my purposes. I would buy again.

Quality has declined!
I purchased this set for the first time in 2016 and found that the bottles and caps worked really well (squeezable, cap/seal was good) The bottle was made from pliable plastic so it was easy to squeeze and kept most contents in (when not under air pressure (inflight). However, I recently (Oct 2018) purchased another set (in 1oz and 2oz size) and noticed IMMEDIATELY that the quality of the bottles has declined. They are now using the harder (feels cheaper) plastic and not easy to squeeze. I was very disappointed in the quality decline. I am keeping the bottles anyways because of these caps as they are great for traveling (we travel with carry on's ALOT). That in mind, I would urge everyone to think about how the bottles will be used before making a decision to purchase.
