My children show steers at our local county fair. They work all year training the steers. Their old halters broke and they had to look for new ones. We looked everywhere for the type for which they were looking. We found these and jumped at the chance to get them. They arrived quickly and packaged well. The black is a true black color. They tighten around the muzzle, allowing for easier halter breaking. That tightening is easy to do. The only con found with these halters is that in order to get a good grip, one needs to make knots on the rope. Those knots stay very well. And, I believe this slippery type feeling is expected with this type rope. I do recommend this halter. It's a good halter at a good price.

I bought these for my kid's, they are showing heifers this year. Halters are amazing, very durable and the lead is long great price point!

It works great, only thing I don't like is that there is no loop at the end to hold onto or add another line to it which would be nice cause the line is a little short. It will probably work for any sized cows/calfs as it is completely adjustable.
