ArtinoSP-3 Resonance End Pin Stopper for Cello

I got this End Pin Stopper after my teacher suggested it. Whether or not it actually resonates the sound, I don't know, nor can I hear a profound difference. The grip on the bottom is almost rubbery and sticks extremely well to any floor. I do have one problem with it. The indent where you put your end pin on isn't deep enough. If you have a rubber tip on your end pin, then it may slip out a lot. This isn't a problem when you're sitting up straight and playing, but if you lean back and tilt your cello closer to the ground, the end pin will slip off the rock stop the majority of the time. This isn't a problem if you're not using a rubber stopper and instead your thin, metal tip. There is actually a small hole (not shown in the picture) in the middle of the end pin indention that your bare end pin will fit very nicely in. Keep in mind the rest of the end pin stopper is easily scratched by the metal of your end pin.

I had a couple of these in my queue, and I bought a different one than I thought I had. When it arrived, I was very confused with what the hole was in it. After reading the reviews, oh, look, it says why in the title. Anyway, this worked really well on my floors at home and the rubber on the bottom is slightly sticky. I would suggest a trick to those having trouble, bring some wet naps or wash me ups or wet paper towels with you and wash and dry the small part of the floor where you want to put this down. Stages are notoriously dirty, and a clean floor will allow this thing to stick.

The End Pin stopper is great, It does not slide if your posture is decent. I would recommend to remove the rubber end pin if you have one, since this is designed for an end pin without the rubber end pin, (hence why the End Pin stopper has a small hole for you to place your end pin).

It really doesn't amplify the sound of the instrument, but is a perfect anchor to stop the cello into the correct position. It is made of high quality materials and the finish is also perfect. I recommend it a lot.

I am professional cellist, and I needed a good rock stop and ended up getting this product instead of one with strap. It usually functions ok in terms of not slipping, but during a few rehearsals and performances, it slipped. I would not recommend this product.

My favorite rock stop (that's not a strap). Love the two options for holes, holds well on carpet and hard floors.

I purchased this for my son to carry in his cello case for use at rehearsals in a pinch. I am glad that it isn't his primary rock stop, because the end pin will not stay inside the thing. Also, it tends to slide on wood floors.

never had a stopper stay in place like this one.
