I'm not sure if it's possible to be in lust with an inanimate object....but I AM!!! This is by far the BEST cocoa butter that I have ever used. It is beige in color with an absolutely heavenly cocoa fragrance, and a "to die for" taste! It comes in a resealable bag for easy storage (although mine doesn't last very long), and the price just can't be beat! I use it to make my own body butters, lotions, lip balms etc. But buyer beware... if this is your intent also and you wish to make 'scented' butters, it has a strong cocoa scent and is difficult to cover without doubling the amount of essential oils you would normally use. This is NOT an issue for me as I love the smell, and anyone I have given any to also comments on how wonderful it smells. Not to say it can't be done, I just prefer not to when using this butter. Ok, aside from the fragrance, this is not at all gritty, when melted or softened, it is soft and smooth and my skin simply drinks it in. You don't "have" to mix this with anything else if you chose not to, stand alone, this product is amazing for your skin! I have also used this for baking, in lieu of butter, and it produces a decadent outcome every time - and I mean EVERY time! It enhances flavors and adds a distinct cocoa/butter undertone that carries almost any recipe to extremes. I get rave reviews from family and friends alike! Not to mention the fact that whatever recipe I am making with this, be it skincare or food, the house is filled with it's wonderful aroma (it drives my dog nuts lol)! The cocoa comes in a heavy duty plastic resealable bag so its easy to store the cocoa if you're not going to use it in one go. The cocoa inside is a pretty solid brick that I had to chisel into tiny pieces to use, because I only need a little bit at a time. The cocoa butter bar doesn't really look like the picture. Instead of being sectioned off into squares, it's more like one large pound of solid chocolate-y golden brick goodness. Every time I open the bag, the delicious smell of chocolate wafts out of the bag and practically straight to my brain. The bag doesn't have any care instructions for the cocoa once you open and use it but I keep it at room temperature (73 degrees F) and it's fine. It's been 2 months since I last used the cocoa and it has retained it's original smoothness and its fragrance. My favorite thing so far has been to make chocolate with it because I tried a couple months without consuming added processed sugar and I fell back on making my own chocolate. It's so easy to make chocolate with and I swear it's better than some of the store brand chocolate because this cocoa just helps it melt into creamy goodness in your mouth! Just mix up some of this, cocoa powder, and your choice of sweetener (maple syrup if you're cutting out processed sugar like me!) and let it sit as a thin layer in a baking pan in the fridge for a half hour to an hour, depending on how much you're making. I added some toasted nuts and/or dried fruits for depth to my chocolate. I've also heard it's great for lotions and creams, but I haven't tried a diy project with that yet. Its moisturizing on its own if I happen to rub a little onto my palms or massage it onto my skin. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for high quality grade cocoa butter because the fragrance and smooth consistency has me SOLD! I'm going to keep purchasing from them as long as I need because for the price, there is really no better deal out there.

So I have been looking to cut down on my carbon foot print and wanted to find a conditioner bar for my hair. This item popped up in my search. I bought it and recieved it quickly. I opened it up and it smells like dark chocolate. A bit overwhelming at first to be honest. Not really a huge fan of chocolate smell but hey its cocoa butter. The bar is huge, and when i opened it up I tried to break it, wouldnt break, I wish it came in smaller chunks or was easier to break up. I had to get a knife and cut it. It crumbled a little. By this point I was not impressed. Jumped into the shower and it was hard to put in my hair and it doesn't sudds up. So I am thinking i just wasted 15 bucks. I think well I will try it instead of my reg bath and body soap which i have used for years. I used the chunk directly on my skin and smeared it all over me. I even decided to try it on my face. I had been struggling with dry skin on my face after using proactive to try to shrink my pores. Immediately I noticed how the water began to bead off my skin. It didn't feel like it had rinsed off but i was kinda in a hurry so I figured I was going to have a bad hair/skin day. I was so wrong! I usually marinate in lotion from bath and body immediately after showering every time. But I felt like the product was on my skin still so i fore went the lotion and grabbed my towel. As I was drying my skin it felt amazing, clean and glowy! I sat down at my vanity and the skin on my face was beautiful. My pores were smaller and it almost looked like i had make up on. I am 40 years old and i felt like it had shaved years off of my face. I didnt even have to put on my moisterizer. I only used blush and mascara and i got compliments all day on how pretty my skin was. I have been using it for 4 days now and i see a huge improvement in my skin texture. It was terrible on my hair but it made up for it ten fold on my skin! My skin has been glowing since I began using this product. What I don't like is the bar is huge and it crumbles when you try to break it up. They need a better mold to make it easier to use. The chocolate smell that was overwhelming softens to a light fresh scent when you get out of the shower and i feel clean and refreshed. I wish I had been using this product for the last 20 years. Kind of a nerdy picture but that is no make up and directly out of the shower.. I had not thought of taking a before picture since I thought this was going to be for my hair. Prior to using this, my face was peeling and dull. I am buying this for all of my friends and family! No more soap.. you should really try this stuff if you struggle w sensative skin or have eczema which it has also helped me greatly. I am an ER nurse and had skin issues on my feet and wow! This is the best suprise I have had in a long time! The last last thing I want to say is that I noticed that I could open my eyes with this smeared all over my face and my eyes did not burn like soap does. I have crazy sensative eyes and it does not hurt when it goes in them. Not that you should put it in ypur eyes, but it made me start to think of the pH of the soaps I have been using and how they must be the reason i have had such dry skin. And I buy high end shower gels from bath and body. I am delighted to have found this product!
