UNBELIEVABLE
Can’t believe how accurate this skeleton is! A colleague of mine has a skeleton from Germany that cost over $6,000. We practice interventional regenerative orthopedic medicine, and my skeleton is every bit as helpful and useful as my colleagues model. Actually it’s better, because it was a fraction of his cost!Fantastic purchase, I’ll have it for the rest of my career, best thing I’ve ever purchased off of Amazon (and I seem to be buying something every week).

Great tutor. Doesn’t talk much though.
Bought this for my son studying anatomy in high school. He will keep it through med school. Great visualization tool to make up for the high school switching to all visual textbooks.

WRONG
Don't buy this skeleton to learn muscles. I bought two and believe me, I am going to be using my whiteout to correct them for a long time. Additionally, none of erector spinae is numbered. The scribe has trouble making their 2s and 1s look different so sometimes they clearly mix them up. I get it: I am having trouble reading their writing, too! Some errors are just absent-minded. For example (see pic): what is B22 (accidentally written upside down) on the tailbone? The key says semispinalis capitus. The other model I got says B30, coccygeus written face-up. This is like not being able to tell your *ss from your head.PRO for this model: it has a lumbar curve. The $850 model made by “another company” has exactly the same handwriting, bones, ligaments, manufacturing errors in the ligaments, except it has a flat low lumbar spine and some of the other segments move (see my 3-star rating for that product for details).INACCURACIES:1. The pelvis is tilted anterior 30 degrees too far, making it appear the pelvic organs sit on the pubic ramus not the pelvic floor. The upper sacrum is almost horizontal.2. Ankles cannot plantarflex.3. At least 3 clinically significant smaller muscles are omitted Want to learn erector spinae? Too bad. None but the multifidi are painted and none of erector spinae is numbered.Other problems:1. With the exception of the shoulder, moveable parts feel like they are just waiting to break with use, especially the fingers and toes, which arrived badly bent. The coxofemoral (hip) joints do not externally rotate.2. Need to learn erector spinae? Get your paint out. Of the entire group, they only painted one muscle (multifidus) and forgot to number it.3. Extra plastic scratched me from bone molds that they didn’t sand off in many places.5. The red “disc herniation” fell off of one of my models.Bottom line: This fixer-upper is for people who already know their stuff. Want that perfect score on your test? Might want to use diagrams that are correct instead of a sloppy model. I dock this model 2 stars for lack of effort to even finish the painting. SELLER: I suggest you complain to the manufacturer about the frequent bad feedback about inaccuracies. You probably are the manufacturer. Retrain your scribe. The reviews ain't lyin'.

Sorry for the bad picture. This skeleton is amazing. I am an xray tech and Physician Assistant student. I think it is worth it for any medical professional.

SKELETON INACCURATELY NUMBERED!!!
Read before purchasing this item!!! The skeleton was inaccurately numbered in some areas and when I contacted Wellden directly I was told "As per our technician, this product is hand painted in many areas, there might be chances that the worker painted the wrong number? Although we had a random check at our factory, we didn't find the issues." In addition, their solution to the issue was to offer me a 10% discount on a FUTURE purchase! I'm not sure how that rectifies the fact that I now have a $300 skeleton that is inaccurately numbered and not helpful to me as an Anatomy student trying to learn the origins and insertions of the muscles! I am EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that Wellden DOESN'T guarantee the complete accuracy of their products! .An expensive lesson learned the hard way, on my part, but I'm hoping this review will help a future potential buyer from making the same mistake! Wellden Product Anatomical Human Muscular Skeleton Model, w/ Ligament, Numbered, Life Size 170cm**Update 1/18/18...Wellden has given me 10% off the price I paid for the skeleton instead of on a future purchase, as originally offered to me and indicated above. Although it didn't fix the problem regarding the inaccuracy of the skeleton I bought, I do appreciate the discount.**
