Bike stan for my grand daughter's new bike
Firstly, the advert on Amazon was misleading because it showed two different bike stands, but did not state that the Black one was for mounting near the rear wheel. The silver one showed the mounting near the centre sprocket, which is what I wanted, but the advert only showed you could order Black! The advert also said that the item was for a very wide range of mountain bikes, which is what my granddaughter's bike is and 24" wheel size which is within the range given. When received, I was very surprised that I had been sent the rear mounting version, but I thought that it may be OK. The two fastening bolts on the new stand did not match the two bolt holes on my granddaughter's bike? Since the bike is needed for early next week, I decided to see if the stand could be securely mounted. After much effort, I have managed to fix it on the bike (but for how long I am not sure).

NOT what is shown in the pictures.
The stand I recieved needs a special bracket pre-welded on the bike frame near the rear wheel hub. The one I ordered (as shown in the pictures) is a standard universal type and simply clamps to the frame, at the bottom of the seat tube under the front deraillier. I now have to return this and find another supplier. Would be really useful if this seller could show actual pictures of what he is selling.

Bike Kick Stand that works....
This was a bit tricky to get the new bolt to screw into the bracket, but as it was new that`s acceptable. Once the everything was tightened and adjusted, the test to see if it would take the weight of my mountain bike came....success it took the weight. Now for the price of this kick stand it is a steal considering the likes of Halfords and Argos charge £10 or more for the same thing, but the one I got was the same colour as my bike so even more pleased. I give this four stars, only cos I had trouble getting the bolt to start. Excellent.

Centre fitment. Easy to adjust.
Bought to fit ladies City shopper style bike. Didn't want chainstay fitment one. This fits and does the job fine. Centre fitment
