Llewellyn's 2014 Witches' Spell-A-Day Almanac: Holidays & Lore

I buy this book every year. And I keep all of my old copies. I never throw them out. All of them are full of not just your basic almanac information, but also spells and stories that can be read and used even years after the almanac is out of date. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a practicing witch, or who even one who is wanting to live a slightly more witchy lifestyle, or buy it even to learn about a witch's daily life, in this day and age.

I love the short spells for each day. They correspond with the Wiccan holidays and seasons and I really do love this almanac. I would recommend this to anyone who practices Wicca or studies it academically like I do. It is extremely informative and well written.

I order this Almanac every year, and am extremely pleased every year. As I am a Wiccan and a Witch, it makes my leaf easier by having info in one location on a daily basis as opposed to going to my ritual room and pulling out several different books daily. it also preserves my ancient Book of Shadows. It is also a perfect size to carry in my purse every where I go, and can refer to it as often as I need too.

I give it a five star for it is a five star.. I have no dislikes it's a book of likes... Witches' Spell-A-Day Almanac books.. I got the last four years and they have changed my life for the best. You have a spell for everyday of the year.They do work when done right. "Have a Magical Year"

I like this a lot.. gives you something to read everyday and practice a little magic too. Just a fun thing my kids enjoy it too asking me too read what the book has to say today.

This came very fast, I thought it would not arrive til after Imbolc but it came on the 29th or 30th. The reason for the 3 is because while it did come fast, the book was not what I expected. There are a lot of days of the year in the book that have no spells, and there are not really a lot of useful ones to be honest. That is just my personal opinion, but I think I will not even end up trying 1/3 of these spells... that is 1/3 of what are really to be called spells.

What a great book to have on hand! If I could only have a year to dedicate to doing each spell each day. It is fun to read ahead and plan ahead creating magic in positive ways that adds to the highest good of our daily lives! I wish I had been buying this book all the years they've been doing it, a wealth of knowledge!

This books exactly what I expected. Everyday I check to see what spell I will be doing. While I don't do them all, I do a large amount. They are fun and creative spells from looking for a new hobby to forgiving someone.

I chose 5 stars for this rating as it is MUCH more than I expected. I like that it doesn't spend over half the book explaining ceremonial magic. Don't get me wrong it's great if you're just looking into witchcraft, paganism, spirituality but you can find such things on the internet, the library and over 90% of other "spell books". See, you would probably class me as a Hearth or Cottage witch, so I was very happy to see that each spell, meditation and focus for each day was more or less a guideline which allowed me to take the inspiration and use it in my own style. However, if you are a beginner you can just follow what it says and it would be just fine! EG, if there is a chant you can just say the chant with intent, or you can go into a meditative state and sing the chant, or you could cast a circle and ritualise the chant, use candle magic, call the divinity .. or however you choose to add focus to your intent. Each day has a colour and a smell/incense suggestion which is also another great way to add spirituality to your day and anyone can do it from the advanced, beginner to the busy office workers or even single mothers. The simplicity makes it very inclusive! Then it shows you, on each day, where the moon is in it's phases (new, waxing, full etc) and what house it is residing in (Capricorn, Aquarius etc), in the back there is a small appendix explaining what each zodiac house can add to your spells and how the moon's phases can add it's own energy (e.g. waxing moon in cancer for help in domestic chores..) so if you want to create your own spells there is that help there too! The only downside to this book is that is in Eastern American Time and I live in GMT so a little math is required to double check where the moon is and when it's changing houses. However I could just search this online if I really can't work it out. I really love this book and I can see me using the historical references and other spells in many years to come. Completely worth the money!

libro interessantissimo. Non ci sono solo incantesimi veri e propri, ma soprattutto esercizi giornalieri in base alle influenze della giornata. Alcuni sono impraticabili per chi vive in città, ma è un limite che hanno tutti gli esercizi magici/incantesimi che si devono fare in natura.
