Excellent product, but just a couple of observations
1) Don't wear these inside the house--not only will they tear up hardwood floors but you'll risk certain death from your spouse for doing so...not to mention what'll happen if you accidentally step on an unsuspecting pet.2) Always remember: pointy-side down. (No, the aerators don't do double-duty as acupuncture devices for the feet. I wouldn't recommend using them as massaging devices, either, unless you're into really kinky stuff.)3) I appreciate the little tool set that accompanies the aerators, but it's going to take me FOREVER to create my garden using those.

Works surprisingly well!
Tips:-test with body weight to confirm ground is soft enough to easily puncture ground (but not soggy or muddy)-if ground is very dry, wet area 30mins before use-do NOT use if ground is wet. You'll spend more time cleaning the shoes from clumps of grass and mud than aerating.-only walk on the grass while wearing these-keep away from children and pets (like most garden tools). They could injure themselves on the sharp spikes-do not use if you have vertigo or trouble balancing, or of you are prone to ankle or ligament injuries-lightly stretch quads and calves before and after use

Your neighbors will point and laugh, but it works!
Putting them on and off requires a little patience, and eventually it seems like re-attaching one is inevitable, but for a fair price they do aerate your lawn. The straps will have a fair amount of extra length after tightening, so you'll probably end up tying them into a little bow just to keep them out of the way. The mini shovel set is funny to look at, I can't imagine ever using it, but who doesn't need a mini shovel set, right?

Works!
These aerator shoes actually work!! Our grass came in so lush and thick when we used these shoes right before winter. Our neighbors have even asked what our secret it. Straps come extra long, so just be sure to cut them when you put them on the first time.Only down side is that it's pretty difficult to use on lawns with a lot of roots. Husband complained of the "pain" when stabbing them into a root and getting kicked back. Laborious but worth it!Worth it for the price.

Tried twice, each time failed after two steps.
I am a size 6.5 but I wear a size 7 garden boots. I tried this shoe aerators twice, both times failed so I am returning it. I tightened and secured all straps and buckles; however, my heels somehow always ended up stepping outside the shoe bases after a careful and slow effort of two steps. My lawn is soft, the steps I took using the shoes were not difficult at all. The front straps have no problem staying secured, the straps around the ankles are the problem.

Worthless
Other reviews said the straps would come loose after about 3 or 4 steps. I really thought I would be able to keep them tight by using good boots and stepping very carefully. But I was completely wrong. After just taking a few steps you need sit down or somehow get them back on the bottom of your shoes and tighten them with all the strength you can muster. You have to do this over and over and over again.

Works to aerate the lawn inexpensively
Works as expected; best to use only one foot at a time so you can stabilize yourself because the tines dig deep and are a little hard to pull out but that is because they are doing what they are supposed to do and pulling out plugs to aerate the lawn.

It works!
I was looking for a budget aerator options and this fit the bill. Assembling the spikes took me 10 minutes (the tool is provided). In addition to the buckles, velcro to the straps would've been helpful to keep the loose strap tucked neatly. I have used it twice, and these seem to work and hold well.
