I bought this for a costume - my gender bender Han Solo. For the price, it is a solid 4 stars. As another reviewer said, it is made of fabric, not faux leather. The front is a steel busk, but the rest of the boning is plastic. Though I was skeptical, I originally ordered according to the manufacturer's instructions (which said to order 3-4" smaller than your actual waist measurement). Because the fabric, laces and boning are not sturdy enough to function as a real corset, the smaller size did not work for me. So if you are looking for something to waist train or do any serious cinching, keep looking (I'm guessing you won't find anything in this price range to serve that purpose).For my purposes, however, I was pleased with the price and construction, so I just ordered the size closest to my actual measurements. The new size fit well, and as before, the construction is good. I would definitely buy from this manufacturer again and recommend this for costuming or casual wear. I took off 1 star because 1) it is not faux leather as advertised and 2) following the manufacturer's sizing instructions in my case did not result in an appropriate size.Shipping note: Even though the description says delivery can take over a week, the Amazon Prime option works (I got the first one in 2 days and the second size overnight).

I purchased this corset as exotic dancewear. I work at a club in my area and was looking for a corset I could actually move and dance in when I found this.This corset is PERFECT for the purpose I bought it for. I got a M and it fits very well (I'm about 5ft tall, 120lbs, 32-27-38). It does provide you with some support but it doesn't cinch and create a perfect hourglass the way my flat steel boned corsets do, but that was expected (and preferred) when I bought it. I am able to move around well in this corset, it's comfortable and it looks bomb on me. This corset is quite sturdy for the price. It IS steel boned, only the steel bones are spiral steel instead of flat (spiral steel boning is much more flexible than flat steel boning). It's not faux leather but the fabric it's made from almost looks that way. 10/10 for things like costumes, exotic dancewear, bedroom playwear, or to wear as a fashion accessory over blouses. If you're looking for something that will give you a real waist reduction, steer clear of ANY corsets on amazon and spring for an underbust from Orchard Corset. But if you just want something to look sexy in, this is a great option.

This is a cute corset but c'mon! I am a full figured woman but not huge by any means and even the 6X fits a bit small. Had to unlace the back more than I wanted to (or should have needed to). I'm wearing it over a good quality Renaissance dress that isn't thin material, so it has to expand for that extra fabric under it. I'm glad I ordered a size up (based on their size chart) or I would have never been able to wear it over my dress.

I bought the blue and gold version of this top by the same company in a 5x previously. It fit, but I had to tighten it all the way and it still fit a tad looser than I would like in a waist cincher. For this one, I purchased a 4x and found it to be a little too small so I suspect that the sizes are different between the two colors. That said, I have never seen such quality in a corset/waist cincher at this price. It feels like the bones are spiral steel, so they won't be good for waist training/reduction like flat steel bones would be, but they are also FAR more durable than the plastic bones that you would usually get when purchasing a corset for 20 bucks. I would absolutely purchase this again!!

So, I am surprised by how much I like this! I order up a size because I am very busty and that usually works out better. It's easier to make something that is too big fit than something that is too small. I'm 5'7", 34HH bra, 46-35-46 (bust, waist, hips) and the 5x was a bit too big. I laced it as tight as possible, the backs overlapping and it still could be tighter. This is good- I will be comfortable in this all halloween long! I would really recommend just following the measurements given by the manufacturer. The 'sleeves' are a bit loose, but I can fix this with a safety pin or a quick stitch. This is a really great piece for costumes!

I only give this product less than five stars because it took me two orders to get the right size. It's definitely Not based on US sizes. Other than that, the quality is amazing! It seems very durable and I love that it has the adjustable ribbons. Pair it with a white blouse and bottoms and you'll have the perfect Renaissance Fair outfit! Very happy with this product :)

I'm a size 16 in women's so I ordered the 6x just to be safe. It fit ok, but I felt like I couldn't bend over. Just a little too constricting so it wasn't quite the look I wanted and I returned it. I ended up ordering a vest that is much shorter to wear to the renaissance fair. It was a good quality piece, just not what I was looking for.

The fit can be easily adjusted by the cording in the back. What I found challenging was the metal hooks in the front and the fact that the framing they are attached to is not at all flexible. In addition the length on the garment is designed for a taller person and I found it cutting into by hips and my stomach when I sat down.
