It blocks the view of the screen when the phone is in place.
I was hopeful for this product when I ordered it as it seemed like a great solution for the newer Q5 owners. There is no place to put your phone unless you have a small phone. Today's larger phones just do not fit anywhere in the Q5. Nowhere. I liked this one because you don't have to glue, tape or screw the bracket into place. It is make to fit into the dashboard of the 18 or 19 Q5. Well it fits fine, but when you put the phone in the holder, it partially blocks the main screen. So unfortunately, you can not see your maps when driving. Why they did not just make the arm a few inches lower to drop the phone below the screen is beyond me. Fix this and I will give it a 5. One other issue is that it tends to rattle when you don't have your phone in the holder but can easily be fixed with a tiny piece of paper wedged into one of the joints.

Phone fits ok. Constantly falls off dash
Had high hopes. But for the price not so good. The dash piece falls off constantly because the plastic is not so strong. Every time I lift the phone off the holder it self comes loose from dash bracket. That is a case issue I think. Can’t used any case if you don’t want that to happen. Good idea but maybe a better quality upgrade coming someday.

Fits perfectly!
This fits perfectly without blocking any air vent. If you use your phone’s navigation apps via carplay, the top of the phone will slightly block the bottom of the screen.Either way, i find that this is the best place to mount the phone. Near the usb connector, within reach and does not block your ac vents.

Fit well for 2018 model
It fit well but note it’s in the middle of the two air conditioning duct so it will blast your phone w cold air.

The magnetic holder doesn't work well if there is any case on the phone.
I suppose I should have expected this. I have a thin case that must be removed for the magnetic feature of the holder to work... and even at that it doesn't seem particularly strong. I suppose a true clamping sort of holder is best.
