Damien: A Stark Novel Paperback – January 8, 2019

Good Lord! If you are a Damien and Nikki follower, you will know what I'm talking about when I say that this book was a nail biter! I love this author and I love this series, you just can't get enough of this couple. Damien's POV was a bit surprising for me, a powerful man who was actually vulnerable, but that is what's so special about this couple and man, no matter how rich you are, there's always a side that no one else sees except the one you love, and even then it's like trying to pull teeth to find. Loved the story line, loved the characters, page turner from page one until the end. I wish I could say more, but that would be giving away details that would ruin it for everyone who hasn't read it. Just know that Julie Kenner has continued her endless art of making Damien and Nikki's story fresh, full of heat and passion, and always something to look forward to! Very well worth the read, hope there's more on the horizon for these two.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I was excited to dive into this read. I will tell you if you haven't read Lost With Me yet, there will be spoilers in this book right away. It was interesting seeing the whole book from his perspective. I really enjoyed getting lost in his head. The love between him and Nikki is strong and is palpable through the pages. They're sweet and endearing and it feels realistic. Being a Stark puts them in the limelight, and not always positively. There's a target on their backs and they have to learn how to deal with that, as well as keeping their marriage alive and raising their sweet little girls. At times, it's supremely hard for Damien and just like he's there for Nikki, she's there for him when he needs it most. I loved being sucked into their world and I devoured this read! I couldn't read it fast enough. This book was full of ALL THE FEELS and it was another great addition to the Stark sagas. Be sure not to miss this book!

So I read all the series. I was really excited to hear Damien’s point of view. All series were written in Nikkis’s point of view. I feel that the love scale is always tipping down at Damien. I feel that Nikki loves Damien more than Damien loves her. Damien is always mysterious and always with secrets. Sometimes, Nikki is very needy for Damien and at times portrayed as spineless when it comes to her needs for Damien.The first book: some key points I want to point out. Great steamy scenes, good dialogues, and story line. I did not like Jamie because she was whoring herself and at one point, I hated Nikki for trusting her so much with Damien. I almost thought that Jamie will sleep with Damien because she slept with Ollie who happens to be engaged and also their friend. It was a relief that J. Kenner did not go in that direction or else I would stop reading right there and right then. Cheating is a no-no for me!The second book: Nikki was portrayed as very needy and clingy to Damien. I almost stopped then. Damien is always secretive and mysterious and it was hard to believe that Damien loves Nikki other than their great sex. But I was intrigued so I decided to continue reading.Damien Book: I was just intrigued about how this saga would end since Damien is always mysterious. I’m excited to see how his mind goes. I love that this is their story as a couple. Their journey portrays love and how they battle obstacles and coming out stronger and victorious. I love this. Most books are written as how they become a couple. Once they become a couple, the story ends. This is different and I love how Jenner wrote about their love, and great sex despite handling kids and family obligations. It is very inspiring that they still have great sex after all these time.Some questions I have for the author:1. Are they going to have another baby? Nikki got pregnant twice despite one miscarriage. There is a strong chance she could get pregnant again despite her condition. Who would manage Damien’s empire when he gets old? It would be nice if they have a son that could follow his legacy.2. Nikki is a beautiful woman or portrayed as one and she was in numerous beauty pageants in her teenage life. The saga always depicts Damien’s women past and present. Most of their obstacles are always about Damien’s ex girlfriend: Sofia, Giselle, Carmela and so forth. It would be nice to read that Nikki also has a man that can make Damien jealous so he can fight for her. It’s kind of unfair for Nikki. She is supposed to be beautiful but the saga is always about Damien’s women.3. Could you write another book this time more about Nikki with other men wanting her rather than Damien’s women? I really feel that Nikki loves Damien more than him loving her.

I have read all of the books from the Stark series and all the spin off series from the Stark series. This is the first book that we get to read what is happening from Damien's point of view. The story picks up where Lost with Me ends. Damien is questioning himself about how he thinks he has failed his family - Nikki, Lara, and Anne - after the events in Lost with Me. It takes Nikki to remind him that he didn't fail but has always put his family first and tries his best to protect them from harm. Even though the kidnapper was apprehended and confessed to his crime, it appears that there was more than what they first thought. The suspects from Lost With Me are back to being suspects and of course, Damien's father is is one of them.Damien, Nikki, Ryan and his security team, and their friends continue to try to find the mastermind of the kidnapping as the past keeps coming back to haunt Damien and Nikki. Sophie is still in the picture but Nikki still has a hard time trusting her. Damien and Nikki is there to help Bree (the nanny) decide what she wants to do with her life and lend their support to whatever she decides.As usual, even with all the craziness that is going on around them, Damien and Nikki's love and attraction are still deep and hot. It is this love that gets them through whatever comes their way and makes them stronger!I can't wait for the next story about this wonderful couple. I don't think I will ever get enough of reading about Damien and Nikki, their love for each other and their family and friends, and spin off books about their friends!

Awesome series can put down.well worth the read from book one right through. Lots of twist and turns! Won't be disappointed

Loved loved being able to get into Damien's head and see his POV. They overcome so many obstacles and each time their connection gets stronger and more intense. I have loved Damien and Nikki right from book one and will continue to do so. One of my favorite couples of all time. Can't wait to see what is in store for them next.

Great story as always

The Stark Saga continues. Suspenseful, exciting, intriguing, sexy.....just a few words to describe yet another amazing story about Damian Stark.I loved every minute of it couldn’t put it down. Another five star read⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
