Works a treat, does exactly what it says on the tin ( pun) it's so easy to put together once you charge up the battery, it's lightweight and cuts through grasses and hedges, even thick stemmed hedging of approx 15 mm. It's easy to charge up the battery for a couple of hours or so and the bottom part slides in with a click into the trimmer machine, with a two-mechanism part to start the blades moving and cutting. Well designed and is good energy saver. Having cut through two corded electric hedge trimmers, this time i bought this one that was cordless, i think I'm better suited to a cordless hedge trimmer, this is my first buy and I'm very pleased with the performance so far with managing my gardening.

Ordered this as my daughter had cut through my corded one! Really pleased with the quality of it, have given it its maiden outing and it easily copes with smaller branches but I found it struggled a bit on any branches that were bigger than thumb width ( which in fairness is quite thick). It's got a good length of battery time and the battery charger is very easy to use. It also has a safety guard of the top handle for extra protection.Performance wise I am very pleased with it, it's perfect for my usage but just be aware that if you have thick branches to cut you might need something a bit more powerful.

Very sturdy, easy to use and move about, great performance, looks nice lightweight to hold. Decent speed to cut the branches enough versatility to cut hedges that are fairly thick, bramble bushes, ivy tall grass.

My garden was very overgrown and I did a lot of research on which item to buy to trim it back. I was thinking I'd need a chainsaw, but they scare me. The Terratek trimmer is a great compromise and has done the job really well. The length of the blade makes it easy to hack through the undergrowth and reach places you wouldn't be able to get to so easily with a shorter blade.It's fairly light to use and has a good safety mechanism, whereby you have to hold it with two hands and press down on two different switches to get the blades to work. Obviously you still need to be really careful but I felt quite safe using it. It was great using sweeping movements through the thicket but it was also precise enough to cut individual branches or strands of bindweed.When my trimmer arrived I noticed that one of the batteries wouldn't charge. There is a little button on the battery that lights up three LEDs to indicate the amount of charge and this button didn't work either. The other battery was fine. I emailed customer services on the day my trimmer arrived (Saturday) and received a response on Monday morning, as they only work Mon-Fri. They posted out a new battery, which I received on Wednesday and that battery works just fine. I think this is excellent customer service!Overall I'm very pleased with the trimmer and I would definitely recommend it. It won't go through large branches, so if your garden is as overgrown as mine then you might need to use a saw on those, but if it does the bulk of the work and saves me from having to use a chainsaw them I'm very happy with that!

This hedge cutter is great. I was dubious when purchasing as so low price, but for my needs it's perfect. I have tried a cordless Stihl cutter before but it was soo heavy, I struggled to use it. I'm a female who wanted a cordless hedge cutter to cut a low 5 metre ivy bush, 2 privit hedges and a red Robin hedge when they get untidy. This has made the job so easy!! One battery is enough for all those hedges. I'm not recommending it for thick branches but for my requirements it didn't struggle once.

Trimmer did not workWhen attached battery and pulled trigger a loud click and nothing happened battery got hot and could smell burning tried second battery same outcomeLittle bit scary!!

I know there have been some reviews criticising this trimmer, but I now have 3 Terretek items and all have worked really well.I wanted this for ‘gentle’ trimming rather than aggressive cutting as I have a good corded one for that. But my corded one is heavy and I’m far from young. This battery powered trimmer is lightweight, cuts well (even better than anticipated) and the battery lists for a pleasingly good time.So, was it worth the money? - in my opinion, definitely yes. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone.

Easy to use and efficient at cutting the hedges I need it to. Good that batteries came already charged.
