Beautiful & functional, with a few drawbacks.
This is my first analog alarm clock. Overall I'm happy with it, and am looking forward to using it for the foreseeable future. That being said, there are a few things about it that I don't love.Pros:- Very attractive- Simple to set- ReadableCons:- Smaller than I expected- Alarm setting arm only rotates counter-clockwise, so it's annoying to re-set it to a later time- Fine-tuning alarm is difficult because you align it with the hour hand; so you need to be ok with your alarm being set +/- a few minutes of exactly what you wantOverall for the simplicity of the design and the advantage of not using my cell phone, I am happy to have this on my bedside table and will keep using it.

Quiet & Accurate
This is the second Braun alarm clock of this model that I've purchased (no problem w/the clock, decided that I preferred a different color dial). It has a truly silent movement and keeps good time. The dial is easy to read and the 5 sec. light makes it easy to confirm the time in the dark without having to put up with a lighted dial all night long. Both the time and the alarm are easy to set. It would be hard to find a better small alarm clock.

performs as it should
The item is as described. I have a white dial with black hands. The size of the dial is good. Not too big, not to small. The tips of the hands do not lighten up that brightly in the dark, but if I really want to know what time it is, I can push the little light to view the whole dial. The light is not so bright that my eyes get a shock, but bright enough to see the time. It keeps perfect time and the alarm is humane to my brain and ears. Everything I expect from a Braun is there. A simple mechanism that just does its job solidly!Update after 6 months: the dial warped. It still works fine, but that should not have happened!!

Decent & Simple
It's fine. Not like the old German Braun, but it's still a nice design if not as well made as before. I wish the hands had florescent tips that were actually visible in the dark, like the original. It's made in China now, and you can tell. But seems to do the job. I like the simplicity.

Good design with some usage issues
Great design but use has negatives- 1. Very light weight makes it easy to knock off bedstand when you wake up to alarm. 2- setting alarm time fussy.Wish it had line in hands. But all in all ok.

good quality
glad I found this. Great product and reasonably priced for what you get. I definitely recommend.

Good design, cheap materials
The aesthetics and usability of this clock are great, however the quality of the materials used leaves a lot to be desired. It gets the job done, but it feels cheap.

Clock became useless within three months
Hands on the clock started loosing their place after two and a half months, so can't rely on time or alarm.

This isn't a Braun
I've owned Braun clocks for decades. My first was bought during my college years, 30 years ago. That clock is still ticking (although the alarm mechanism has failed). I've bought a travel clock and a self setting Braun clock for my son. They're all fine. This one feels cheap by comparison. When it arrived, I was surprised how thin it was. That's fine, but then I noticed that while it looks like a Braun clock should, it didn't feel like one. Many of you may have noticed a dip in the last decade where Braun clocks were unavailable for quite a while. Before then, Braun (parent company: Gillette and now Proctor and Gamble, who incidentally also own Duracell) would make them. Now it would appear that they recognised the demand was still there and subcontracted these out. Zeon - a name I recognise from the 1980's catalog days for cheap watches and clocks - appears to be manufacturing these under the Braun brand name. Obviously not made in Germany anymore, and because it's not technically made by "Braun", it doesn't include a free Duracell battery either. Now you know why.Otherwise, it's a nice clock, very quiet tick that you can only hear when held close. The light is not an LED, probably because it's not meant to be bright. The light function however is of questionable use in my opinion, since the object of being able to see the hands using a light that is parallel to the hands is a bit stupid. Why this couldn't illuminate behind the white plastic face with a LED is beyond me. Still it's easier to read than a black face clock.

Nice Little Clock
Very attractive and silent clock. My only complaint is the light which doesn't illuminate the clock face enough to see the time and its position causes glare as it's not shielded making it even more difficult to see.You also have to remember to hold the clock on either side when pressing the body down to activate the light otherwise you turn the alarm on or off.

Brilliant
The clock has a very clear face. I particularly like the fact that it is so quiet, perfect for the bedroom.

Broke within 6 weeks
Looks like the Braun clocks of old but that’s where the similarity stops. The second has has jammed after 6 week of use and nothing I have tried will persuade it to move again. Now just landfill

Great alarm clock
Had the previous version for many years. This is a huge improvement. Well recommended.
