It is a good collection of facts and events of 1945... with few improvements could be much better
Ok, maybe I was expecting something different. I bought this to my dad that just turned 70 on 2015. The video quality is ok, and you need to consider that it is a collection of original content, therefore do not expect High Definition... considering 4:3 aspect ratio and the original content, it was well recorded. I was expecting something like a retrospective of those 70 years, starting in 1945 and bringing it to the current date... but it shows JUST things that happened in 1945, when he (the birthday boy) was born and has no memory about. Maybe here is a suggestion to the producers, because whoever receives this gift, would like to know interesting facts of the year he was born, but a retrospective of facts.Another constructive feedback to producers would be to include a better narrative to the video. Also include more subtitle on the important facts and person in perspective on the documentary. Many of the persons that were mentioned did not have a OSD to describe them. That could be improved.

Not what I expected
This DVD has a lot of information about the year 1945 but was not exactly what I expected. I bought it to play it at my mother-in-law's 70th birthday party and we put it into the DVD player, but stopped it after a few minutes because all they showed were scenes from World War II. I understand that the end of the war was the most important part of that year, but it could have started with some positive aspects like music, movies, people born that year - which was included, but more towards the end and those parts were rather short. Less war coverage and more fun facts would have been better.

Not Good as Expected
I bought it for one of gifts for my dear friend's 70th birthday. I watched it with her. Unfortunately the year she was born was 1945. So the topics on the DVD were mostly related WWII and in monochrome. The quality of the picture was not good as expected.
