It wasn’t the island that was home. It’s the man.
Wow. What an explosive conclusion to the Forge Trilogy. Heart of the Devil was a nonstop, thrilling rollercoaster of events that culminated into a truly unpredictable story. Meghan March delivers a powerful and seductive romance which is deserving of far more than five stars and I couldn’t have possibly loved this trilogy more."Happily-ever-afters don’t start with losing a bet, kidnappings, and negotiations."Heart of the Devil is the epic conclusion to the Forge Trilogy. This also happens to be my new personal favorite series from New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Meghan March. Heart of the Devil picks up exactly where readers were left hanging at the end of Luck of the Devil, and this installment of the trilogy is just as much a rollercoaster of events as the previous books. Please note that this is a trilogy (as previously mentioned) and you must read these books in order to follow the storyline. Correct reading order is:Deal with the DevilLuck of the DevilHeart of the DevilI have truly loved each and every book in this trilogy, and yet I can not help but state that this is one example of saving the best for last! Indie and Jericho’s romance is unquestionably original and entertaining. MM is an exceedingly talented author. The stories she pens are sexy, entertaining and simply outstanding romances for readers to consume at their leisure. I, for one, struggle to put down her books once I have started reading them and Heart of the Devil was no different. It captured my attention from the first line, and after a long night, I finished in just one sitting. I felt that it was set to a fast, yet perfect pace the drove me to keep reading from cover to cover. There is nothing like that feeling of contentment one achieves after a truly satisfying romance and that’s just what I felt after I finished the Forge Trilogy."Jericho Forge doesn’t have a single clue what it’s like to be the center of someone’s world. He’s about to find out."Heart of the Devil concludes the romance between India Baptiste and Jericho Forge. It’s a dual POV romance with outstanding character depth and progression over the course of the trilogy. I loved Indie’s character on every level, but I have a soft spot for a$$holes in my romances… meaning Jericho is definitely my favorite character. I also think he had the most character progression and has taken the place of my favorite MM Hero. Jericho is that hero… you know the one that’s deeper than expected, a proverbial fortress of strength who never displays a feeling? Yes, that’s the one. But once he meets Indie, well, let’s just say all bets are off—He falls hard for one woman, one he never saw coming, one who was supposed to just be a means to revenge—and the fall is supremely satisfying to watch. Indie sets his world on fire and by the epilogue of this one, I was ready to proclaim my undying love for Jericho… And if I am being honest, the ‘Cracken’ may have some small part in that 😉. I guarantee if you’ve read MM before, you know all about how hot her romances can be. Heart of the Devil—the entire trilogy for that matter—is no exception. Have your spouses on standby or those batteries charged because you will be a mess in need of a cold shower whenever you pick up something by MM. Also, it’s important that you’re planning ahead when you read a book by this particular author because I guarantee that you will be binge reading everything in her catalogue after just one book—that’s what I did!!! Reading is pure joy for me. I have read a book a day since I was about 7, so that’s a long time… Now that I am a blogger, I have been so lucky to discover many talented authors that I hadn’t read in the past. More than two years ago, it’s how I discovered MM and she’s remained one of my favorite authors since I read that very first book. She consistently writes 4- and 5-star romances that remind me all over again just why I fell in love with reading so many years ago. Having the opportunity to jump on reading books like Heart of the Devil for my blog is always such an honor and I can’t wait to see what Meghan March delivers next to readers.QUOTES:Forge doesn’t need me. He doesn’t need anyone. The glimpse of the man I saw behind the granite wall was a mirage. He doesn’t exist.--She’s a siren, and I’m the sailor she’s trying to lure in. I’ve never wrecked a ship, but she could tempt me to do anything.--She’s the one thing money can’t buy, and she’s my ... world.--The pity in their eyes stokes the inferno of rage that I’m hoping will meld my broken heart back into something recognizable. The fires of the forge.

Epic
I really loved this series. The twists and turns caused me to feel deeply. Told from both Indy and Forge’s POV, which is the best way to tell a story, in my opinion. The author just keeps getting better.

5+ stars! The perfect end to this sweeping, mysterious, suspenseful, and romantic trilogy.
Mind Blown! My heart was racing from the moment this started...right when all hell had broken loose in the last book. Sh** has gotten very real. Indy has been swept into a situation she could have never prepared for, and has to make snap decisions on how to proceed. Trust is challenged. No one is safe. Nothing is guaranteed. But she is a woman on a mission, just holding out hope that Forge is also working towards common goals. It will take all of their strength, fortitude, and intelligence to navigate through. It is hard to know who is friend or foe. There are many antagonists, threats, and unknown agendas that they are having to deal with and they do not know who to really trust. And the fragile bond they had is going to come up against some serious pressure. Both of them are dealing with guilt and internal struggles about certain situations. Indy is stubborn and resilient, but she also has her weaknesses. And Forge seems impenetrable, but even he has certain triggers and issues.Their relationship was born in manipulation, half-truths, hidden agendas, and even a bit of coercion. Forge has always been a man who thrives on control. Indy is a woman that has always had to be independent and strong. They are both stubborn and strong-willed. And they both have been known to be unpredictable, and do not have a really good handle on the other's true thoughts and feelings. The events in this book will test them to their limits and push them past their breaking points. Their choices and reactions could have repercussions. He has brought Indy into a world full of danger, and she has become a new weakness. And he has shaken up her world more than she ever could have predicted. They are both in grave danger and it can be coming from anywhere at any time. This is a fast-paced, twisty, suspenseful, and intense conclusion to Indy and Forge's story. Some parts made me hold my breath, while others hurt my heart. It had me tense, angry, shocked, and surprised. But there were some fun and flirty parts too. This gave the characters more of a chance to dig deep into their own wants and needs, while also putting them into challenging situations. They both struggled with self worth, guilt, trust, and acceptance. And their own demons sometimes talked into their ears and affected their choices and feelings.I had some theories. Some were correct and some were way off! I kept changing my mind on who was bad and good, and what the heck was really going on. The side characters definitely added to the drama and mystery. It was hard to know who was scheming who and who had hidden agendas. I was totally shocked with some events and twists. I love books that keep me invested and intrigued, and this one nailed it!I had already fallen for Forge before, and even though there were times I wanted to throttle him in this one, he might be my new favorite Meghan March hero. Something about this hard-edged man hiding a heart that is just looking for an anchor, but also does not feel like he deserves it, really got to me. And Indy is really a tough, smart cookie, but just really wants to feel accepted and safe. He seems like the least likely candidate to do that, but I was pulling for them to finally get on even ground. It brings everything full circle and ties up all the loose ends. So much happens and there is a lot to take in, but that is part of the fun of these layered trilogies that really have time to delve into these complex characters and worlds. There has been a common theme of playing to win and this one will come down to playing for keeps or losing it all. This was the perfect end to this sweeping, mysterious, suspenseful, and romantic trilogy.

WOW! Love this book & series
This is a great book. A nice wrap up to this amazing trilogy. I absolutely love Jericho and India and their love story. I just wish they were together more often in this book and that there’s more dialogue between them. But in regards to the overall mystery plot, this was very good. Surprise ending with a bit of a twist. No angst or drama. Great writing as usual.I absolutely loved this series and can see me rereading it again in the near future. I recommend!

Packed full of danger, suspense, and everything India and Jericho Forge
There's one thing for sure with India and Jericho Forge- there's no shortage of danger. This book was shorter than I expected but it was crammed full of plot twists and suspense until the very end.Meghan March created this incredible world was all consuming from the very first page of the first book.IIndy and Jericho are in constant danger for their lives as much as scheming plans are.Scenes in the most wealthy and beautiful of settingsFalling in love wasn't part of their deal, despite their undeniable chemistry - it sets of this steamy love-hate-love romanceThe suspense keeps you at the edge of your seat and guessing with the the most unexpected plot twists until the very end!The only downside has been the full £4.99 for a kindle edition book I read in less than an hour.

Money isn’t everything!
An enjoyable tale with twists and turns, but why does it have to be split over three books? Although combined these would have made a wonderful bumper book, two instalments would have been better than three short books - less money for the publishing company but better value for the readers, and there was enough story to make two excellent instalments instead of three thin instalments (something I notice with a lot of Kindle books). I really enjoy this author’s writing, there were plenty of surprises as the plot progressed and we learned more about the characters and their motives. I could have given each of the main characters a smack on occasion for being wilful or stubborn, but in Forge’s case, when you have more money and power than most people you forget what it is like to be “normal”. An enjoyable tale.

To have love is to cherish its rewards
A fantastic conclusion to a stunning series, by an exceptionally talented author. Jericho and Indy’s lives seem so entwined together. We start the book on the cliffhanger of number two in the trilogy. Everyone is dead. India is distraught. Mystery, drama, intrigue, lies despair, love, so tender and heartbreaking, are all here. People you thought you knew, through the written word, people whom you felt you trusted, people who you thought may be loyal, all is not what it seems. It is very difficult to read this book and not get involved. There were times when I wanted to shout at both Jericho and Indy for their stubborn attitudes. Summer I wanted to rattle, and who’s father or mother is whom. Answers abound. Questions are made and eventually answered, but through it all is an exciting, believable and incredibly well written novel.

Just wonderful
I don't go into details when reviewing a book, I'm not great at expressing my thoughts on paper. So this is just my opinion of this series. As with all of Meghans books that I have read I have totally enjoyed, the characters are always a joy to read. This series was no exception I was hooked from start to finish and I have no problem giving it 5*
