The bookends were just as advertised and just as I wanted. They are sturdy enough to hold my paperback books in place yet light weight enough not to tear them. I plan to purchase more in the future.

These are perfect from keeping my books (and notebooks, and blocs, and folders) from falling, and keeping my shelves organized. They're metal, slim and sturdy. I like that they don't slide.I actually bought a second set after the first, because I realized 8 were not enough for what I needed. I'm happy with them.

Bookends are nice semigloss black, very sturdy,with anti slip pads on bottoms. They are a nice height for oversize paperbacks or regular size hardbacks. May not work great with coffee table style books.

I was unsure of whether I should get this model but I have to say I'm happy with the product... it works well and that's even with large clunky binders, etc. I also like that it's very thin and so easy to store any you are not using. Very satisfied!

The item pictured seems to have a Matte finish. These are somewhat glossy. Also, one of the Non-Slip Rubber feet was worn/damaged when we opened the box. This should be packaged a little better. The are however fairly sturdy and hold most books, even the larger oversized ones.
