Spear & Jackson 1680NB Neverbend Carbon Digging Fork, 99.5 x 20.5 x 10 cm

Nice and strong, not too heavy. Got some tree roots out with this fork. Job well done. Decent price for a heavy-duty item.

A nice sturdy garden fork but one of the prongs on mine has bent so the "neverbend" claim isn't 100% true.

Feels sturdy and strong, hopefully will last me many years.

I love this fork. It is a bit on the heavier side but it is incredibly sturdy and can be used in stony ground.

I bought this border fork after my old border fork snapped. This one is very sturdy, heavier (to be expected) but a little too short for comfortable use. I am 5'8" so it's worth checking what length fork suits you best. Having said that, it is still in frequent use!

The weather and a sore back means I have only used it a couple of times but it seems great.

I used the garden fork to dig the garden

This is slightly smaller than the digging fork. I used ( still use ) my Spear and Jackson digging fork although last summer, after 17 years of use, I caught a tine on a buried Boulder and bent it back. I'm certain it had a couple thousand hours of use before the mishap and I'm pretty confident this will hold up as well.I also believe the smaller head width is more practical for digging to divide and move plants.

I have an earlier version of this fork which is amazing, however they have now made the tines much thicker, presumably because enthusiastic people must have still been bending them. However now the tines are so thick that they do not easily penetrate any but the softest soil. Fine for mixing loose soil, but not suitable for weeding or breaking up compacted soil. I bought the Spear and Jackson mirror finish stainless steel border fork and they are far superior. Tines are sharp and thin yet very strong. I'm a professional gardener and have a religious zeal about border forks. Give this one a pass and get the mirror finish one instead!

5 stelle per la robustezza, ma un po’ troppo pesante, l’impugnatura dovrebbe essere più larga per tenerla meglio con due mani, ma anche nei terreni duri resiste bene.
