Great replacement
I have a 2008 Prius. This product is stronger and feels more solid than the factory part. Color is perfectly matched (white). Did not come with instructions for installation (good installation instructions online on YouTube). Took me 1/2 hour to complete the repair. Very satisfied.

Not terribly difficult to install, color slightly off & suspect primer not used, but quality ok.
I ordered this about a month ago and the first one arrived broken. The return and exchange process went smoothly via UPS.My handle broke this past winter, in subzero temps, when I applied too much force to my brittle oem handle. I purchased this unit rather than a cheaper carbon fiber or black unpainted one off Ebay because of the color match.Issues you may run across:(1) If you're one of the folks that never dealt with the melted rubber piece on your oem handle, then replacement will include the extra step of scraping the electronic latch mechanism clean of all of the old rubber. You'll want to buy a replacement rubber piece to install at the same time. They're available here and on Ebay. I'm not sure if the quality differs between the available options. All that said, check yours; it may be more about the climate your prius experiences.(2) The three screws that hold the remote lock button in place may be corroded/seized (like mine) and need to be drilled out in order to swap the parts over. I suspect this issue is due to moisture, so if you live somewhere very dry, maybe you won't experience this.(3) the steel bolts that hold the piece in place are provided, but the 4 nuts are not, so be sure to save the ones on your vehicle - and take care not to drop them in the door when removing. I accidentally dropped one and it came out with a quick upward movement of the door, but I may have gotten lucky. The 2 plastic snap pieces (which might not be crucial components) on your oem handle also must be reused, so save them.(4) there's a piece of rubber that runs underneath the spoiler that stops water from entering the car. It's important to take care when installing to make sure that the rubber sits correctly, so any rain flows over the crack rather than into it.(5) removal and installation of the toyota emblem can be done with a flathead screwdriver. Go slowly, and work your way across the top or bottom for good results. Mine was very secure, but came off in about 90 seconds. We'll see how the new provided sticker holds the emblem over time.(6) the white doesn't exactly match my 2006, but my guess is it's because it's faded. The piece scratches pretty easily. I had one of the mounting bolts in my hand while holding it, and it scratched the white paint off with very little pressure. I suspect the manf. didn't use primer and only top and clear coats. All that said, your experience may be different. I'm happy to have the piece installed and not my old dangling one that made my prius look like it was headed to the junkyard. The metal reinforcement piece does make the piece sturdier because the metal is bolted through the frame of the door.Despite the paint issues, I'd recommend this to my fellow prius owner.

Prep Before Purchase, Don’t Expect Exact Color Match
The item was as described. The White color didn’t match exactly, but for a quick solution for my 2008 Prius, I’m not being picky about it. No instructions, but just go on YouTube and find 2nd Gen Prius Liftgate videos and you should be good. Before purchasing, you may actually want to take the liftgate apart to see if everything else is in good shape. For me, I didn’t do that and had to order the wire harness assembly that included the liftgate button and smart entry button. This was because the rubber got so bad, cleaning it up got rubber far down into the liftgate button and it would stick. Also, the screws that held the smart entry button in place were rusted tightly on. They stripped easily and couldn’t be removed. Once I had the new wire hardness, installation was a breeze having been through it a few times.

DIY autobody repair made easy!
So the hardest part of installation was to remove the old rusted screws from my car to install this new piece, but once that was done, installation was a breeze. While there are no instructions, it was easy to figure out where everything goes. As long as you are careful taking out the old stuff, and be sure to save the nuts, the kit comes with new screws and bolts to install the new piece. I also recommend getting the replacement latch rubber cover kit with install tools (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J4NAGP2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The tools included in this kit really helped getting the rubber over the liftgate to prevent water from getting behind the new part. And if you have rusty parts on your car like I did, be sure to dig out your vice grips and a 10 mm nut driver. Those are all the tools I needed to get this new part on my car. Looks great. Hopefully, I won't have to replace this part for another 10 years!

Mechanic said it was missing the hardware only bolts/nuts included with adhesive for emblem
I primed and sprayed it to match 08 Prius. Had it installed. Mechanic said it took a couple hrs.

Correct Part - Missing Components - Seller Refused to Send
The part arrived and fits a Gen 2 Prius (04-09) as advertised. You need to remove the Toyota emblem from your old hatch garnish and install it on the new part. The part I purchased listed an adhesive "sticker" to reattach the old emblem. This was not in my box. I reached out the day after receiving the part asking if they could send the adhesive component that was not included. I was asked to send photos of the part and packing invoice. I did. Then they asked if I wanted a refund. I said that I just needed the adhesive to complete the job. I asked if they could send one. They said that "Sure, we can do that" and then credited me $8 to my account. All I was asking for was the adhesive backing that was advertised in the original item. After 5 days, I'm still getting responses as if this is a difficult request.

Good fix
Was very happy with the product. Would be nice if it came with instructions, but was able to figure it out without much issue.
