VlaMiTex J17 Leather Hunting Buttstock Ammo Cartridge 20 ga

I don’t know how anyone could rate this less than 5 stars. It’s quite rare nowadays for something off Amazon to exceed my expectations, but this is perfect. I would have paid triple what I paid and still felt like I under paid. Mine is fitted to a savage model 24 .22mag over 20ga. Fit is brilliant, shells hold tight, and the cheek pad is great. I tossed the leather cordage that comes with the pad and used paracord to lace the pad instead.

Absolutely the most quality item I have ever purchased from Amazon. I bought this probably over a year ago, but at the time, Amazon would not let me leave a review because I had not purchased enough items through Amazon at that time to be allowed to write a review. But finally I can! Every time I see the quality of the one I have at home, I am just so impressed. I'm not one to leave a review for anything, but this absolutely deserves it. The one I have is truly for 20-gauge! The leather smells good (unlike some of the other leather products on Amazon that are soaked in literal bird poop to get their tanned color), and it is very soft. If I ever get another wood stock shotgun, I will definitely come back for a 12-gauge version, and would happily pay more than what they are offering it for. Really cannot say enough good things. Thank you! The craftsmanship is worthy of the shotgun my grandma gave me, which is very special.

Shell holder of excellent leather quality. Secure leather bindings. I did need to contact the individual that was making them, as there wasn’t any instructions how to use the lacings to secure the shell holder. Received a reply and helped me through the process. This product comes from Germany.

Installed on a 20 ga. side by side coach gun. Looks great and holds the shells snugly. Very satisfied with this.Would have been nice to have instructions for the lacing but I figured it out. Have seen comments where some wanted to replace the leather lace with nylon cord and I guess it might be ok it you have a synthetic stock but the leather looks classy with wood!

The quality and fit are outstanding. Holds 20 gauge shells nice and tight. Key point: I wished it came with instructions on how to lace and tie off with a nice knot. I managed through it but I'm still in doubt. That's the reason for 3 rating.

I got this in 20 gauge for a New England Firearms break open single shot shotgun. The quality and fit of the leather and stitching is excellent. I used a hole punch and put an extra hole between each hole where the lacing goes. Then I took a piece of brown para cord and removed the inner strands so it would lay flat and used the para cord instead of leather thong that came with it. This made the lacing alot tighter and closer together. The fit is very tight and it looks great.
