Decided to revisit this and try it out again
Update 2 months:This is absolutely necessary to keep the peace in my household. I have started to give her slightly more than 75mg, because it wasn’t working as well after a while but giving her 1 pill plus a little sprinkle from the second pill works great. She is just over the weight suggested for the 75mg.I tried to give it every other day but it just was not working as well as every day. We still smoosh it into a few pill pockets and make like a dough and then I pinch off treat size pieces and she loves it! She cries for it every morning and that is what she wants for breakfast lol. She’s now refusing wet food because this is what she wants.Update 7 days after initial review:I have been giving 1/2 of a 75mg capsule twice a day to my cat for 7 days straight now and she has not attacked my other cat in 7 days! We usually have stalking and attacking constantly so to go from constantly to none is very impressive! What I really like is that she still has her personality and does not seem drugged in any way. She just isn’t a psychopath stalker anymore 🤷🏻♀️. I plan on continuing the regimen and giving 1/2 to her twice a day. I started by sprinkling half a capsule on her wet food but she doesn’t eat all of it (she doesn’t mind the powder at all) so instead I have been buying pill pockets and I just knead it into the pill pocket like a dough and she eats it right up. This way she gets the full dose and I’m not wasting any.Initial review:My vet recommended that I try this before we put my cat on Prozac.I have two cats. My cats are not litter mates, they are both 6 years old and I adopted them one year apart. Pandora was the second cat I adopted and she has turned out to be a little psychopath. She constantly bullies and stalks and chases and attacks my other cat. It drives me insane and at times it’s extremely draining. I have tried very good quality lab tested CBD, and every kind of feliway spray and diffuser there is. Nothing works.I purchased this about 8 months ago and the first time I gave it to her she full on attacked my foot (not playing, it was very aggressive) and she has never done that before. So I have not given it to her again.Out of desperation, I am revisiting this option, after reading more about how to administer, I think she probably just needs more time to adjust.I sprinkled half of one capsule on top of about a tablespoon of wet food. She ate almost all of it right away.I purchased some pill pockets and I think I can smush the powder into them and feed it to her that way to ensure she gets as much of the product as possible without wasting any.She goes crazy for pill pockets! I’ll gladly update this review once we finish the bottle.Tonight was the first night we started it again and she walked around the house looking for something to get into for about 30 minutes (typical) and then laid down and went to sleep.

Worked very well for our anxious 15lb girl.
I'm sure it's different for every cat but our 2 year old, 15lb girl has responded really well to these. She developed a lot of anxiety after an inter-state move and it was beginning to manifest as mild aggression. The vet recommended these and it was like we had a new cat overnight - she went from being super jumpy and anxious to be so much calmer, happier and so much more affectionate. I sprinkle two capsules into a wet treat for her every morning and she gobbles it up. Will definitely keep going with them.

Nuanced approach to efficacy
These did not make a significant difference for my cats, but I’m not going to give this product a bad review because I understand there are biological nuances between animals that make supplements more or less effective. What works for one cat may not work for another. It was still worth trying. I gave them a full 7 day course of the pills and it did not seem to help their anxiety or induce calmness. That being said, it mixes well with food and my cats, who are normally very picky about eating anything with supplements mixed in, ate it without hesitation. I took the capsule apart and mixed in the powder. There were no negative side effects either.

Zylkene
This product really works. If you have a cat that has separation anxiety, is scared of loud noises or thunderstorms, has travel traveling, this is a product that works.

Didn’t work as well as I thought they would
I guess these worked they take a long time though, and my dog still growled at people in the airport. She still snapped at the vet. I don’t know if if she needs to have a lot in her system. I don’t know, but they didn’t work well for me.

No difference noticed
We have two cats. One of them is kind of an a-hole. He's already on Prozac and that calms him down quite a bit, but he could stand to relax even a little bit more, so we decided we would try this as well. I noticed absolutely no difference. Also, the cat prozac or vet prescribed is cheaper. So if your cat is in a hole get that not this. Or maybe try this and this alone will help you, but both together don't do anything more than just the one.

Works well for my reactive dog
I adopted my 22 lb terrier mix last June. Lily part of a litter born in Puerto Rico to a stray mama. When we got her she was as wild as they come… age did not k ow any commands and was extremely fearful of humans. She was a resource guarder, barked incessantly, and very protective of get food. With training she has come a long way but the barking and food hoarding, and distrust of anyone other than me still has a ways to go. Lily has taken Zylkene for about a week now and it has made a notable difference. She’s still Lily but the Zylkene has taken the edge off big time. Now we have time for her to hear us and heed our commands before reacting. She is less “crazy” around the cats, stops when we ask her to, way less barking, and mare welcoming to new people. She is 22 lbs and 150 mg mixed with her breakfast seems to be the perfect dosage. The price is a bit high but subscribe and save helps.
