Aluminum Venetian Blinds (50 * 130cm, White)

This is a replacement for our existing venetian blind which finally died. Being in front of the kitchen sink we wanted something that wouldn't be affected by the odd splash of water, would be easy to clean, and would contribute to security by denying a view to the inside.The measurements were exactly as quoted in the description meaning the blind fitted the opening perfectly in our case.It came with a plethora of fittings, both for hanging the blind and managing the chord mechanism for raising/lowering. I was lucky, the blind fitted the existing brackets so I did not use the supplied mounting brackets. However, they appeared simple to fit and I have no doubt they would support the blind well.The control chord and operating rod hang to the right and are simple to operate. Pulling slightly to the left or right with the chord releases/engages the lock mechanism to lower the blind. It can be locked at any height thus offering solid partial shade toward the top of the window (with the slats set to vertical) whilst leaving the rest unobstructed for a clear view. Rotating the rod changes the angle of the slats through a full 180 degrees from vertical through horizontal to vertical in the opposite plane.The paint finish is consistently good, and the components appear to be well made. The provision of a bracket to secure the chord to the outer edge of the window when the blind is open is a welcome addition. Two small brackets are also supplied that secure the bottom of the blind when fully down, presumably to stop the blind rattling in the wind should the window be open.Some mounting screws and plug fixings were supplied, but your final selection will be based on what you're fixing to.For us it's a well fitting, well made blind, pleasant in colour and finish, easy to operate and does its job well.

They were exactly the size described, correct colour, fast delivery, quick and simple to install. The only minor thing is that each pull cord has its own end grip bit, i guess it allows you to pull one side up?? But just tie them together at the end or put both cords through one end grip (maybe being picky). But overall, very good quality, none of this plastic rubbish blinds, proper aluminum.

Overall look and colour was very good, better than plastic but not as nice as wooden slats. Provides good shade from strong sunlight without completely obscuring the view.Fittings were fiddly and the screws supplied were on the cheap side, but they've not fallen down yet so can't complain!Happy for the price and would probably buy again.

Ah finally, beautiful high quality blind that’s really easy to install - screw two fixings in and then simply clip on top of blind and push bracket over it, done in 5 mins - blind top slides along two brackets so measurements don’t need to be exact, you have flexibility. They look lovely and are waterproof too. I just bought another two, thank you !!

Nice blind, very easy to install and options for instaling directly to the wall on the upper window recess. I opted for the second option originally and hit brick with the drill wthin millimeters.Best option is installing the blind directly onto the window frame, (in my case UPVC), they provide shorter screws for this method and you screw them directly into the frame, no plugs or drilling. I would attempt to use all three mounting brackets with this option as measuments have to be precise to assure the three brackets slot into the top of the bilnd and hold it horizontally straight.Quality is very good at this price range, you can buy blinds half the cost but I can only guess how poor quality they would be. The slats are quite rigid and the mechanism is smooth, with no raising/lowering or tilting issues. I also shortened the blind to fit in my window, as I needed a wider than longer blind, this was also a breeze and took mintues to achieve.Very happy overall and especially during these hot days, its cooled the kitchen down instantly. I also received the blind the following day after ordering in the evening. What's not to like!!

Easy enough to fit, quite thin slats, looked good when up but lock mechanism wouldn't work so I had to tie it in position.
