Medical experts agree that when it comes to the healthy development of little feet, barefoot is best. It’s the reason why these same experts recommend soft, flexible-soled footwear for both infants and children. They’re the next best thing to being barefoot. Since our first steps, Robeez has embraced this philosophy. All of our footwear carries the prestigious Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association, an accreditation only awarded to products that promote natural foot function. And with a soft sole design built to flex and bend, that’s exactly what our shoes do. The best shoes mimic bare feet. Robeez footwear mimics bare feet by flexing and bending with every step. Supporting, not constricting growing feet, they promote good balance and unrestricted growth while protecting little feet from the world. They stay on too, with elasticized ankles to ensure a perfectly snug fit. Using high quality leather and materials, Robeez shoes are both comfortable and durable while their softer soles cushion feet and allow toes a better grip, helping balance, encouraging muscle growth and preventing slipping. From crawling to cruising, walking to running, for indoors and out, Robeez makes shoes and socks for newborns to two year-olds that promote healthy foot development while being fashionable and fun to wear.

Fell apart after two wears :(
We have owned almost a dozen pairs of Robeez-- they are our favorite shoes for babies and toddlers! Our second son is currently wearing the same shoes that his older brother wore because Robeez are so durable. And we're an outdoorsy family! These shoes get worn to the park, on hikes, etc... EXCEPT these fisherman sandals. They developed a hole near the big toe after only two wears, and now the the entire front of the sole has pretty much ripped off. Did I get a lemon? I'm not sure why these fell apart so quickly, when the others have been beaten up for years and are still in good shape. I'm really disappointed, but apparently neither Amazon nor Robeez stands behind their product because I can't find any way to get help beyond posting this negative review. So, you should definitely consider Robeez, but maybe not these, or maybe not unless you can find a better way than I of contacting customer service...

awkward fit
I have purchased no less than 7 pairs of Robeez shoes (in various sizes) for my grandbaby. These are the only ones that have an awkward fit. When the shoe is on, there is a TON of shoe that is behind the heel -- if that makes sense. I think that the problem is that the elastic in the ankle part of the shoe is a little too tight/short which causes it to force the foot towards the front/toe portion of the shoe. My grandbaby's toes were all the way to the tip of the shoe and yet there was a good 1/2-3/4" of shoe behind his heel.

Way too big!
The shoes are super cute and seem well made, but they were huge! I ordered the 12-18 month size for my 11 month old (he's in the 99th percentile for height and has large feet). Based on the size chart he was in the center of the range. The shoes were almost 2" too big for him! He's just learning to walk so I don't want something I have to worry about him tripping over. With my other children we've had 5 or 6 pairs of Robeez and loved them so I was surprised the sizing was so off. The quality was what I've come to expect though and would have kept them had they fit.On the plus side, he didn't try to rip these off the minute we put them on so I think they're at least comfortable. He's at the point in daycare where he must star wearing shoes every day and has hated everything else we've put on him (he's the 3rd of 3 brothers so we've had lots of baby shoes to choose from). Being summer we wanted something he didn't need socks with or would end up with stinky feet.

Wear quickly.
My son wore these over the summer for about three months. They are totally worn. These just do not last. For the majority of the wearing my son was crawling inside the house and they still look worn. I am embarrassed to pass them on to a friend. I called the company and while they were friendly and kind they did not request the numbers from the box; just quipped that they would pass the info on.

Cutest sandals ever.
I love these shoes. I was said that baby just out grew them. The reason I give them 4 and not 5 stars is because the sizing on them are so confusing. I initially ores a 12-18 month pair for my above average size baby at 11.5 months. They were huge! I got the 6-12 month and they fit perfectly. He is now 13.5 months and just outgrew the smaller pair. The other ones still seem large. So if you baby is a size 3 to 4, get the 6-12month. My babe is officially a 4.5 and cannot wear them anymore. So sad.

Thin sole. Minimal support.
Bought 2 pair of these sandals for my twin grandsons. My daughter loves the look but personally I think the sole is too thin and it doesn’t offer much support. 3 stars because of that.

Great for toddlers!
These are great shoes for your toddler who is just learning to walk and gain stability. The soft soles let them feel the ground and don't cause them to trip like rubber soles may. The elastic keeps them on their feet and they fit well enough that they don't even try to get them off. We went through a couple of these with our first child and loved them just as much the second time around. I definitely recommend them.

Great product.
I bought two pairs of these ... one for my 14 month old grandson and one for my year-old grandson. Both like them a lot. The boys sometimes refuse "shoes" but love these. They wear them with and without socks. They are easy to walk in and don't cause them to trip. They are stylish.
