TO LONDON, WE WILL GO
This book is geared toward middle-grade students, roughly ages eight through thirteen. It can be used as a guidebook to prepare children who are planning a trip to London with a family or a community organization. Each site is accompanied by pictures, its history, main features, and visitor appeal. Mills talks about iconic historical landmarks like Stonehenge, The Tower of London, Big Ben, The Red Phone Booth, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. She discusses street landmarks like Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, and Harrod's Department Store. Other notable spots to visit include The London Zoo, Hampstead Heath, The Globe Theater, and Platform 9 3/4's with its connection to Harry Potter. Of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on the London tube or a visit to one of the museums like The Duxford Air & Space Museum or the RAF Museum. There is so much to see. Mills has especially focused on those of interest to children. This book can also be useful as a starting place for a school project on London. The book need not be read in any particular order as the chapters are not laid out sequentially.

Not much substance and too many blank pages.
I purchased this book for my 10 year old son but it was very disappointing. The inside of the book feels completely different than the colorful intriguing cover. There are too many blank pages and white space and dull black and white photos. It is a very quick read for a 10 year old and doesn't feel like much time or thought was given to the substance of the book. I'm not impressed and unfortunately neither was my son.

Now I want to go even more!
It's been a lifelong dream of mine to visit London, England. This book just makes me want to go even more!I enjoyed reading about the sites you should be sure to see while you're visiting and like the interesting facts about each site.I look forward to seeing Big Ben in person. I will smile every time I see a red phone booth. I will have fun taking a trip on The Tube. And thanks to this book, I know enough to try Ben's Cookies!I'm familiar with this author from the other books in this series. I follow her on Facebook and enjoy when she posts some of her fun facts that come across my Facebook wall. Thank you, Teresa Mills!

An Appealing Guide for Kids of Any age (even for adults!)
Having just been to London with my husband and teenage daughter in 2013, I enjoyed reading this fun travel guide by Teresa Mills. There were many facts that I didn't know until reading the book. I especially enjoyed the chapter about the iconic red phone booths and their history. We were only able to see what we could see in our 2-day stay in the city as well as a two days traveling the area near London, but her descriptions were spot on, and the additional tidbits she wrote about some of the places we visited make me want to go back and take a second look! This guide is very appealing, and I think my daughter (who is now 19) would also enjoy it as much as she would have when we first went. If you are planning a trip to London with your kids or young adult travelers, this is a good way to figure out what you want to see during your stay. If you are there already, all the better!

Good start to get kids excited about the trip
The review is done by my son Arnav who is 10yrs old. He did receive a free copy of the book. Here are his thoughts, I really liked that the author put fun facts and 1 or 2 pics for every single place. I liked the King’s cross platform 9 3/4. The London bridge was also quite interesting. I wish she included more details, places and pictures. Otherwise I liked the book.
