The Three Sisters Indian Cookbook: Delicious, Authentic and Easy Recipes to Make at Home

Nearly six weeks after the promised arrival date (thank you USPS) my book finally arrived. It was absolutely worth the wait! The illustrations are beautiful and the recipes are mouth-wateringly good. Some of them will have to wait for shopping day, but the lemon chicken is sublime! If you are on a budget, this is a fantastic book. There are so many ways to prepare ordinary cuts of meat to make them tasty with only a few well-chosen additives.

The subtitle says it all: "delicious, authentic, easy recipes to make at home". There is also information about spices and photos of most completed dishes.

This cookbook is beautiful and the recipes within do not disappoint! I'm relatively new to Indian cooking, though I love cooking from scratch and I have just loved each and every dish I've made. I also love that they include suggestions for other recipes to accompany the one you choose to make and the photos with each recipe are beautiful. I could cook from this cookbook daily! Now I'm purchasing their other "Quick and Easy" cookbook so I can have even more fun learning and cooking.

I love Indian food and I bought the spice box that goes with this cook book off of The Three Sister's website... it is a must have as it is so user friendly and makes cooking these recipes a breeze! I've now bought two more to give as gifts to my own sisters.

This is the most beautiful Indian Cookbook we've seen... great images and outstanding recipes. Recommended and you won't be disappointed... bet!!!

Wish there was a ZERO rating! Some pages were torn. The actual recipes look good.

What a nice surprise! The book came in new condition, not a mark , fold, or tear in it. It even smelled good!

I like this book. It is well laid out and it sits flat on the work surface which is a bonus. It gives a clear list of curry ingredients for each recipe so you check what ingredients you may need to buy. I have made quite a few of the recipes, butter chicken was very good. One tip I would give is read the recipe thoroughly first as I have been caught out a couple of times when putting the ingredients together for cooking and then I read that it should be marinated overnight. Not all the recipes require this but what I have done is go through the book and using a highlighter have marked the recipes that require this so I don't make the mistake again. A minor quibble is that book tries very hard to sell their own spice box which admittedly looks very attractive but I think is way too expensive. I bought a spice rack from Amazon (Andrew James) at a very good price and I put all my spices in the rack to they very easy to locate.

I bought this book from another seller originally but have re-ordered it as a Xmas gift from Amazon. It is probably the best Indian cookbook I have used, it is so simple and all of the recipes have worked out brilliantly so far. The main thing to note is to stock up on the spices to begin with to ensure you have them ready but after that, you only usually need a few extras i.e. meat/veg and yogurt etc. Really straight forward and some of the recipes only have a couple of steps but still turn out to be delicious. Excellent for mid week cooking when you have limited time and for dinner parties etc.

This arrived in May, described as good as new. I unpackaged it and put it with my other books. I went to use it last week only to find that it is mouldy and damp. All of my other books are fine. Not happy with seller. Was obviously just wiped down to hide the worst of it!

This cookbook lives up to it's name. The meals taste authentic, and are easy to make after the initial investment of some unusual but commonly-available spices. I amazed even my most particular dinner guests! The cooking instructions can be overly complex, and the cooking times overlong, but these can be easily remedied once you have experience of which spices to use. After two years I've raised my DSR to 5-stars. Well worth purchasing!
