So far so good!
Due to not having enough space to workout with weights, I decided to look for a viable option, which will help me keep fit and possibly gain some muscle mass. I ended going for the Black Sniper kit, with also the 5 cord Leg Kit and the extra door hook attachment. Let me tell you, these have definitely set me on the right path. After 4 weeks of diet, cardio (2 - 3 days a week) and a Ripcords workout 2 - 3 times a week, I've noticed positive results. Ofcourse this is not all from the Ripcords, but it is definitely helping me keep my muscle mass rather than letting it deteriorate from a standard "all cardio, no resistance training" regime's.The yellow cord has the least resistance, which is good for just starting out. I found an all rounder in the green cord, changing every so often to the heavier blue cord, or to the lighter orange cord. The Black sniper cord is AMAZING. Although I am amazed by the resistance all the cords have, I am blown away by the resistance this particular cord has. It's perfect for "dumbbell" Shrugs and other low movement workouts where you would normally lift a heavy weight. The DVD that comes with this kit is awesome. Its a circuit training workout, so expect alot of different exercises in 7 minutes. I found that its hard to keep up with it and there is no way to do it all in 7 minutes. With that said, it's still a great alternative to Bike/Elliptical cardio, when you just use one of the low resistance cords. So far, so good. No attachments have broke, they have a life time warranty, and they deliver to Australia, unlike the Bodylastics set, which I have heard are great aswell. You'll b amazed as to how versatile they are!!!

I JUST ROBBED MYSELF
I'll get to what I mean in a bit. First off these are a quality set of bands. The rubber grip handles feel nice and allow more comfort for a longer workout. The instruction dvd is informative, but not exciting. The door anchor does not impress me. What bothered me at first was the shipping rate. $13.89. If I was paying attention a little better I could have got the shipping at 12.99. I know 90 cents. Why am I making a stink over 90 cents. It's the principle of it dammit. It's the principle. So if you want to save the 90 cents, order from the set that has the 34 reviews. That being said the reason for the high shipping is they're sent out from Canada. At least that's what I'm lead to believe because their website has a Canada address. So Why did I order these you may ask? Well as a collector of resistance bands, Ripcords was my unconquered territory. Also I want to let you know if you want a bag to put your bands in that will have to be a separate purchase at a cost of 29 dollars total. And it's a small bag. A bag that should have been included in this set. BUT, their opinion is different than mine.

Good, but not what was expected
First of all, the product is a good product, but I think the product writeup is missleading. The ripcords and door ancor are well constructed and expect them to last me for a long time. There was a few things that let me down though. First let down was the instructional card. All I recieved was a zeroxed piece of paper showing the different excercises. In the pickture (an in my mind) it shows a nice color laminated card. Not the case. it was a black and white poor quality copied double sided piece of paper. I almost missed it cause it was with the packing slip. Second let down, the DVD. There are 3 different routines on the DVD. Beginner, Advanced, and Door excercises. The only difference between the beginner and advanced, beginner has a woman doing the excercises, advanced has a man doing them. Of course they are using different color ripcords, but the routine is EXACTLY the same.If you get this for the ripcords, then this is a good selection. If you get it expecting a high qality workout routine on the DVD, or instructional cue card... look somewhere else.

Great for limited space
These are great if you have a small living area where you donโt have room for bigger machines or racks of weights. They have held up well with a ton of use.

I love them!
These things are great! I use them more than I do free weights. You don't have to mess with any clamps to change out the amount of "weight" you'll be working with and you can take them where ever the crap you want. They'll really get your muscles tone if you keep up the workouts. The DVD is really good and can really work you out even if you're already used to working out. Why go to the gym and drive home sweaty? With these things, I can workout naked and jump in the shower right after. Better yet, I can work out IN the shower.

Good, but not great!
I brought these bands a few months back and they were good. They gave me a bit of pump and even had my arms shaking at one point. But then the black sniper broke. The steel ring that holds the band to the handle broke clean off. Amazed, I switched to the blue band. Which after about 15 mins work split in two in the middle of the band. I thought these were supposed to be the strongest bands on the market? Nevertheless, I emailed Astone Fitness 3 months ago and told them my concerns and I have heard absolutely NOTHING!. Thanks for the awesome customer service Asotne Fitness. I would never buy or even recommend these bands to anyone. When they work, they are pretty good, but when something goes wrong, clearly you are on your own. My advice, go out and buy regular old dumbbells.

Collecting dust in the closet
I thought these bands would replace the need for a gym membership. The DVD is not for the beginner, it is pretty hard core to keep up with the lady. I would recommend just getting the bands and using online resources to build a simple workout. I currently rely on just bodyweight exercises and the gym 3 times a week. These bands are collecting dust in my closet.

So far so good!
Pros:* Works well* Good variety of "weights" are included in this package* Build quality seems to be good (so far!)* If you follow the DVD and maintain correct form, it's a good workout!Cons:* The included DVD is rather limited in workout options
