Product came very fast as expected. Drive was well packaged so arrived in great condition. This was literally the definition of plug and play as I hooked it up, put the disk in and it worked within seconds. Used multiple times since then and never had an issue. Its lightweight, compact and comes with a built in USB connection, that handily clips in under the drive when you need to pack it away. Would definitely recommend if you're after an inexpensive dvd drive 👍

who sets a uk dvd reader to region 1?? other then it being a bit slow, it works fine but movie and tv play back will be hindered by the fact its set to region 1 from amazon, i was having all sorts of issues till i checked the settings in windows to find it was set to region 1, now ive changed it to region 2 its working alot better

I had a new laptop so no CD/DVD drive and needed to install software from a CD.If you have an up to date laptop you don't have to worry about all the warnings about what you might need to do.Just plug it in and then go to 'This PC' to see your storage devices and there you will see it and see its been given a Letter either D or E or whatever . Now it might not automatically 'install' stuff from the disc that you put in to it. So just right click on START and select RUN and in the empty box type its letter and colon and autorun like this D:autorun or E:autorun or whatever (no spaces) and then click ok and off it will go. (It will remember to do this next time)Nice finish on the case just exactly like my laptop, love it.As for short lead, just buy an extension lead Duh! Designed to be easy to carry about with a laptop so long lead would not be a good idea.Comes with a mini usb adapter cable

Not compatible with my pc/laptop even though instructions said it was. It doesn’t even work and you waste so much time trying to download compatible software for the device to be recognised on your machine and it still doesn’t. Wouldn’t buy again.

Plugged in to pc via usb and worked straight away in WINDOWS 11. No problems.

It works and uses USB c and the other one that's normal and works fine but you need to pull the disc drive to put the disc in that's why it's 3 stars it kind off connects to my phone but who uses their phone and a dvd player

I bought this as my new laptop didn't come with a cd/dvd drive and I needed one to play backing track cds for clarinet music. I bought this one as it had lots of great reviews and was about the right priced for what I was looking for. It's excellent love it. Was easy to install and connects to my laptop perfectly with a USB cable. It plays dvds and cds and had excellent quality sound. It does whirr a little when you play cds but it's not too loud so I don't mind. Was perfect for what I was looking for.
