ToiletTree Products Deluxe Wooden Bamboo Shower Seat Bench with Underneath Storage Shelf

We just totally renovated our entire bathroom. I got this for our new shower. I was waiting to actually use this seat for a while before writing a review. I definitely recommend this shower seat and it is a great product. Yes you can use it in the shower! This seat is like half the price of a teak seat. The bamboo is sturdy and the seat has a nice strong design. I like the fact that it has a built in shelf too. The feet don't actually rest in water because they have clear rubber tips that are attached to the wooden legs by either a nail or screw. After a few weeks I did have to rub some oil on it. I actually used a wax that you use on a wooden salad bowl and it waterproofed it just fine. So I guess you'll have to do that every so often. This seems like a small price to pay for having a seat in your shower. I also recommend using a washcloth when sitting on the seat because the slats tend to dig into your skin. I've read other reviews that say that the bench became midewy. Those folks clearly have a humidity problem in their bathrooms. This bench will not mildew if you let it air dry each time. We normally squegee the shower and keep the glass door open to let things vent out and we have had no problem.

I just put my bench together last night so I'll update my review after a few weeks to see if it holds up to moisture. Initial thoughts; it looks great. The variations in color make a look unique and while the treatment on it is a little glossy, I'm not bothered by that. There are no instructions on how to put it together but it's pretty straight forward. My only complaint so far is that the legs don't align evenly with the screws so some of them were very difficult to screw in. Once I got it together I realized that it wobbles. That's probably going to bug me since I want to use it as a seat in my steam shower, so I'll look into a way to try and fix that. But over all I like it.Feb 2016 update: I've used the bench many times in the steam shower now and it has worked out great. As long as you dry it off after I haven't had any issues with it. I decided to order a second one which came with rubber on the bottom whereas the first one did not. The rubber feet are great and keep the bench from wobbling so I emailed the company to see if I could get feet to attach myself. They are sending the feet to me no charge. Really great customer service and a good bench for a steam shower!

Great seat! When it arrived and I picked the box up, there was something loose jingling around inside. It was the bag of bolts (nice, sturdy bolts with included allen wrench - nice!) I unpacked the bench pieces and was very happy with the quality. Substantial pieces, very well made and completely polished/varnished smooth!I did notice a couple of 'dings' however in the top piece to the bench. I'm guessing from the loose bag of bolts.The box contained a small paper asking the customer to contact ToiletTree Products directly with any issues before going back to the seller.I was considering contacting Amazon for a return and replacement, but emailed ToiletTree Products first.Wow! I had a response email AND a phone message with an hour from them!I emailed back a few photos of the dinged piece and was told that I would be sent a replacement piece.How awesome of customer service is that?! I was very impressed.The piece arrived a few days later, I assembled the seat and I love it! It is very sturdy, and looks really nice.When assembling - it seems that the notches in the legs, that hold the middle shelf, are cut specifically to be in certain spots.So if it seems a leg isn't fitting quite right, try swapping it's position with another.Overall - I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

Previously I had reviewed this shower bench and only given it two stars because I was unable to assemble it successfully although it should have been very simple. Shortly after posting my review I was contacted by the company. They shipped me a completely assembled bench, and it is perfect. The finish is lovely and it is very sturdy for it's size. I don't think I'm going to use it in the shower however because I would hate to mess up the finish. Anyway, I give this company FIVE STARS for customer service, and the bench FIVE STARS for appearance, but it doesn't seem fair to just give it five stars overall in light of the fact that I couldn't assemble the first one I received and had to send it back. At any rate, this is a really nice bench, and the company told me that they were going to include directions for assembly in the future. If you are considering a bath shower seat, I really very heartily recommend this one.

I just received the bench yesterday and assembled it today. There are no instructions included, but there are very few parts, so the assembly is self-explanatory. I had some trouble getting the legs aligned properly, but that could be in part because I was doing it by myself. It would certainly help to have one person hold the legs in place while a second person puts in the screws. (I'm also very inexperienced with any type of furniture assembly.) Anyway, it took me over half an hour to assemble, and I still couldn't get the legs to line up perfectly with the bench top, but it's not really noticeable. The finish is really beautiful, and once assembled, it seems very sturdy. I'm not using it in the shower; I bought it for my garage entryway for a place to sit while putting on shoes. I weigh 130 lbs., and it seems to hold under my weight very well. I'm not sure how well it would handle a large person, though. I noticed a comment or two about the price ($69.95),which doesn't seem particularly unreasonable considering that you are getting solid bamboo, and not junky particle board.

I got this for my pregnant wife to sit in the shower since she gets dizzy. Assembly was a fail.There are 10 pieces required to assemble this product. 2 type D legs and 2 type C legs 4 screws and 2 tops. They managed to mess up the items by sending me the wrong combination of legs.The wood splintered a little on attempted assembly. Hope that doesn’t happen when she is sitting in the shower.Update: After writing one email indicating the problem, they sent me replacement legs which fit just fine. So far so good and no splinters in the bum. Rating goes from 2 to 4 stars based on the good customer service by Jenna Tavares at ToiletTree. Other similar benches are $200 dollars so far so good.

This is a nice piece of furniture and looks as if it will last a long time. The finish is good, it's easy to assemble and the method of securing the legs ensures it is structurally sound. I deducted one star because had a couple of splinters from the legs in my hand, it would be so easy for the manufacturer to round these off ensuring that this doesn't occur.

This is a nice looking and durable shower seat. However, I would never have been able to assemble it using the Allen wrench included. Had to get the ratchet set out.

Love the quality and appearance of this bench. Easy to assemble, arrived quickly and offers practical seating/storage in our guest bathroom. There initially was an unpleasant odour (like burnt tea leaves) so I placed it on our back deck in the sun for a few hours and that helped. Otherwise, I love it!

It was initially a little tricky to assemble (albeit I had my senior father do so) . . . Good quality wood and very stable to use. I recently have 1 foot in a cast for 6 weeks and I am using the bench daily for my showers, I feel very comfortable and stable using it in the showers. No hesitation in recommending.
