Well made and function power strip -- hefty built and adaptable to US and European plugs
Recently, I had to go overseas and knew the power requirements were of the round two-pin type at 240volts. You can't simply use a US power strip and change the plug by using an adapter. It will blow it out since the internal circuit breaker will sense the wrong voltage and you'll end up with a charred power strip. I had a raft of equipment like camera gear, computers, iPad, phones, etc. that all needed to be charged. Since every hotel is different in foreign lands, you may find that getting to a wall outlet is more difficult than it seems. This is the solution.This particular power strip is well made, and perhaps rather bulky, but it held up well on the trip without cracking or breaking. The best part is that if you use devices that can sense the power and adapt internally, then this strip allows you to plug either a European plug or an American AC plug into any of the outlets. They'll all fit without yet another adapter -- making this strip highly functional and easy to use.
