I have never owned an actual charcoal grill until I bought this one. I'm so glad I purchased it. I've previously only used a natural gas grill and our new home didn't allow for a gas line to be ran into the backyard. A friend of mine suggested I buy a Weber, but then a client of mine suggested a Kamodo Joe, instead, and I'm so glad he did. You can smoke on it, definitely grill on it, and cook a pizza if you want. The heat this grill can put out is amazing and the build quality is excellent. Just getting started with learning how to use every feature of it, but I'm so glad I bought it. Very expensive, but WELL worth it.

This grill shipped from Premier Grilling. Their customer service is excellent. Andrew took very good care of me to make sure I received my grill when it was promised. As far as the Kamado Joe grill is concerned, I give it 5 stars! I had 2 Big Green Eggs before this and wanted to get this grill because of all of the improvements they made over the Big Green Egg. The SloRoller insert really works and also keeps the grill from flailing up and burning the meat all while adding so much smoke flavor to the meat and salmon. Very handy when saucing ribs! The hinge makes the lid almost weightless. The aluminum side tables are so much better than the wooden ones. The Ash Tray is probably the biggest improvement over the BGE! Super simple, clean and quick to empty. The cart that comes with the grill is superior to the BGE! Solid, won’t loosen up over time and even has a space to store the Slow Roller Smoker. I’m super happy with this grill. Plus it looks Fantastic! My friends with BiG Green Eggs are jealous! I would recommend the iKamand Smart Temp Controller if you want to make this grill super convenient for those long cooks. I have one and it works perfectly.

My grill was delivered without the stand or casters. Now I have a huge heavy grill sitting on my back patio. We can’t even use it. Kamado is not answering phone calls due to COVID. I was excited about this product, but now don’t know what to do. Extremely disappointed. Update: I contacted KJ and was able to get a base within a couple of weeks. I haven’t fired it up yet, but I finally have everything! Update 2: Grill is outstanding. Very glad that I stuck with it through the complications. If you can’t get one, with all the pieces...it is very good.

Delivered on date as scheduled and perfect packaging. Easy assembly. Attached are photos of the smoked ribs that came out perfect. This was my 1st attempt at smoking ribs,ever. They turned out perfect. Hit my temperature within 15 minutes and maintained perfectly for the 5 hour cook.

First off the grill is great - well made with lots of options out of the box. The item was delivered without cart and I did not realize this until after unpacking everything - the only option is to return for a refund. Customer service from Amazon was awful. No option to have them deliver the cart. The only option is to somehow repackage the extremely heavy grill to send it back.

Insteuctions were for the classic 2. Pretty much zero instructions for the classic 3. The YouTube videos are about your only hope. The fins on the cleanup pan had to be forced. After fighting the setup the grill was amazing until I tried to cook steaks. The 500 degree warning on the top plate applies to all of the inner workings. You would know this if they PROVIDED INSTRUCTIONS!!! I didn't need the plate for steaks and fired it up to 500 degrees only to find the innards were melting when I opened the lid. Apparently these parts are made of pot metal. I have not found any part replacement so I basically threw away that money. Buy the classic 2 it seems much more solid.

The delivery truck arrived on time. However, there was only one guy on the truck and it was all he could do to get the Kamodo in its box onto the lift and leave it at the curb in front of my house. I live in the city, and have steps leading up to my front door. So, with the friends I had gathered, we broke down the box on the sidewalk and carried each piece up to the house, through the front door, through the house, and out into the backyard. Now that it is set up, it’s great, but the delivery company should not promise front porch delivery if they are delivering a 300 lb box with one guy.

This grill is absolutely awesome if you are an avid steak eater. The smoker works very well and the temperature stays steady one set. We purchased the additional electronic control which had mixed reviews, personally I have had no problems with it and rely on it every time I barbecue. This grill blows away the green egg and is a must-have if you have the means, if you don't, save your money and buy this grill
